Damn, it works; I was skeptical until the last second and it's MFi compatible.

You connect your phone to Itunes and than drag the roms into the IGBA folder

Yeah I’m upstairs in bed so I’ll do that tomorrow

found a website full of roms and once I saved them to Files I could then select them as they were associated with the emulator

works well ! Great to have this on my phone. Cheers

If you have a Mac and an iCloud account, you can also copy and paste the ROMs from your Documents using the Files app on your phone. The iGBA folder is accessible when you browse “On My iPhone.”

So far it’s managed everything I’ve thrown at it. Have yet to try it with my Backbone.

A reddit user mentioned not being able to pause games pressing the [start] button on their backbone ([+] on the Joy-Cons), because it makes the emu's menu pop up, but I think GB/GBA's [start] is mapped to a face button.

Pressing [Y] on the Joy-Cons, I jumped from the alphabet section to "Ok" when I was naming a character in a game and such behavior is usually mapped to the [start] button. I'd have to try with other games, though.

And yeah, this is a major breakthrough in terms of AppStore stuff. But right now the only platform that I need emulated is SNES, in order to have "my favorite" videogame running on my phone.

So you can’t download stuff directly to your downloads folder on iPhone and play them from there?

If you save games to your Files folder and then go in there and double tap the unzipped rom it opens and copies to the emulator

Great add! This emulator is nearly perfect. Tested on three roms and it is awesome. Hope anyone will consider also some DOS, PSX and SNES emulators.

Would love mame so much. Love the gameboy so this is a huge bonus.

Works so well plus I don’t have to be jail role or it’s a hidden app or the next version of iOS will ruin it )I hope!). So very very happy I’ve got this. Great surprise last night

I’m a big PSP nerd (until I got a Retroid Pocket Pro 4, my jailbroken PSP Go was my favorite retro platform), and I’m really looking forward to playing something like The 3rd Birthday at 1080p.

Add MAME and Dolphin for GC emulation (too bad that PS2 emulation is probably going away), and the iPhone 15 Pro could become the emulation platform to beat. Very exciting!

Just in case anyone's late to the party, the app's not available for purchase anymore, although it's still available for redownload from purchase history, which makes me think it was removed by the developer rather than Apple.

If anyone hasn't been following, the app turned out to be a rip-off of GBA4iOS (this was obvious from the start for people who had used it). The person who submitted it to the AppStore abused the open source nature of the emulator and built it without even crediting the real developer, but took their time to put in some ads.

So there you go. Not bad for a weekend. Hopefully we'll see some news/story on TA's frontpage!

Shame it was removed, personally thank god i downloaded it !

Surprised Riley hasnt released an official version, sure Nintendo would get it removed though but if someone released MAME on the app store and put say a $5 price they would make a chunk

Hoped we would suddenly see loads of emulators appear

Just added about 90 games to the emulator, works very well. Very happy with it
