If I ran TouchArcade... we would worship IMNS. Hoddap would be locked in a cage, so he can't break out and use his magical powers. LOLcats would be in every nook and cranny, with the occasional dog. Oh yes, I'd tie the trolls onto a tree to die. The end and TouchArcade lives on and prospers.
I think it's pretty great the way that it's run now, although I'd love to see them bring back the games-of-the-month features they did for a few months at the beginning of this year. I think they only did two or three of them before they stopped. I'm actually fine with them not having a review ratings system.
Yeah we got kind of behind on this, and then it was hard to play catch up. But we've streamlined a couple of things and I think you'll see that monthly round up return soon.
Ive seen the TA logo blue before and looks quite nice - maybe I'd regularly change it! But the main thing I'd do is try and get a front page article every few hours, not dribs and drabs.
I would make Kijib a mod, have pages make envirobear noises each time you load, and make advice dog the official mascot of Touch Arcade.
Id make it so anyone visiting on an idevice has to wait for the ads at the top to load or the page would jump down and they'd click the wrong thread. Also, I'd give devs a 5 minute head start over IMNS. And I'd make all new members have a mandatory 1 hour wait period, so they have to actually read a thread or use the search tool before they ask a question that's been answered already. And I'd have mods ban more often. Much more often.
Actually, I was just thinking of messing around in this thread, but I lost interest when Vester wouldn't say anything. I'm straight, trust me.
I'm wondering if that idea is still being considered. It would be really great to have TA on the go with me.
They have been working on the app forever, I hope it'll blow our socks off. I don't see how they can't not have an iPhone app or at least make a mobile version.
Ban Kijib. Close down Kijib's thread. Ban anyone who created a stupid thread. Force everyone to use correct grammar. No more "Random Pictures" or "Random Things" threads.
I would make Hodapp review and write front page articles about crappy, obscure games that no one has ever heard about so people who would have never known about them in the first place can be sure not to buy them.
