Yeah, sometimes I just get plain lost because I can't tell where the path is. I tend to navigate by the minimap a lot. Some dithering would be nice.

Yep another vote for this. I do like the game a lot but its a shame when you have to keep the mini map on screen as you get lost where to go with soooo many trees.

Same CPU same GPU meaning, same hardware power to run games.

Deus EX requires some Bluetooth chip that the iPad 2 doesn't have iirc. For running games, both the iPad mini and the 2 have the same capability.

As a witch I found spamming the tornadoe spell worked the most effectively againts him. Not only does it fo a decent amount of damage on him but being able to move it around as it's going also lets you take out his little minions.

Agreed - really hard to see where to go with so much on screen.

Save problem is still on, unfortunately. I lost like an hour of gameplay on the weekend, where I was pretty sure that e.g. moving from one zone to another saves your game.
As my playing time is very limited, it goes on the backburner until this is solved.

    To the developer:
    An autosave should occur when
    - you change zone
    - you get or solve a quest at a questgiver
    - you defeat a quest monster, or otherwise meet quest completion
    - you find a quest item (e.g. the idols(?) you have to collect)
    - you go back to the main menu
    - you leave the game to the springboard

Also, a manual save option is direly needed.

No crashes here on iPad2 so far.
Agree on the jumpgate. The pictures are a nice idea, but it needs labels.
Also, while we are at it: A more detailed worldmap would be good. E.g. there is this camp northwest of the village where you can buy higher level stuff. But I have a hard time remembering how to get there exactly. This should be shown on a worldmap.
I also still have the autoaim problem, and it happens quite often. Extremely annoying, especially when it kills you.

    Graveyard:
The ambushes where a bunch of monsters suddenly pop up need to be tweaked a bit. With the Witch, you only have a few seconds to teleport out of the fray, or you are dead. Even with 5 summoned spiders you have problem: they only last long enough to give you time to teleport out; running away did not work for me, too many monsters around.

On the iPad2 / obsolote hardware issue

Does noone remember how it was with PCs until a few years ago? And still is to some degree in the graphiccards department?
When every 6-12 months you needed a completely new machine to play the latest games, because hardware was advancing so fast and the cutting edge made a much bigger difference than it does today?

That is the situation we are currently in with mobile gaming devices.
If you follow ARMs processor designs a bit, you know that they are a few generations ahead already, compared to what you see in mobile devices today.
And due to the delays that are specific to ARM processors (going from a processor design, to customise it, adapt it to your manufacturing process, produce it, and then actually have it in devices takes 2+ years), this will go on for a while longer.
Want to take bets if we will see an iPad5 with an A7/A15 big.Little quadcore and the newest graphic chip available? My money is on "No, we won't. Maybe an iPad6."

    Just. No.. Bad analogy

A new graphics cars doesnt cost £400-500, I bought a new graphics card in April as my old card couldn't run recent games, it cost £95 and now I can play things like Skyrim with 40-50 mods very smoothly and this card will easily do me 2 years. Cannot compare £95 to £4-500.

Great game so far, for the price it's one of the best buys on the app store!

I am not sure but there may be a bug in the crypts quest, after the cemetery. I fought the boss and beat him, but not sure if nothing dropped or somehow I didn't pick it up. I walked into the next area where the bodies are piled up blocking the stream, but it still shows I need to go back in the crypts. When I go to the 3rd level there is no mark for what I need...is there something I need to do in here or is this a bug? I've cleared out all floors a few times and still nothing new drops.

On a side note, what are those spinning stands? They are highlighted but don't seem to do anything?

He was talking about a few years ago.

I've bought several graphics cards over the years to the tune of over £200.

I remember buying £250 of RAM in the early nineties just to run Doom in a slightly higher resolution. Back then the prices were incredible high, due to an earthquake near some factories producing RAM pushing the prices up to incredible hights.

(Edit: That was for 4 MB Ram! Yes, MegaByte).

Buying any peripheral to a PC today is nothing compared to just 5 to 10 years ago.
Back then if you wanted to be on the cutting edge you had to fork out big money at least every two years.

That's not the case anymore in PC world, but it is in portable gaming like iOS and android.
That's just the way it is.

Yeah, I remember the old prices.
My first ever HD cost £350 and that was 20mb. (Mb, not gb!!)

But still, I don't think its fair to compare pc upgrades to an ipad, but whatever, we are going off topic.

Yeah, it's off topic, but it bears mentioning that the constant evolution in technology and need to upgrade constantly back then in the PC gaming world is exactly what's happening now in the portable gaming world.

There's no real difference, and there's no way to halt the progress either.

Are there any other games like this? Cross platform with Android? My girlfriend and I really wanted to play together, but as broken as it is on iOS, it hardly functions on her Nook HD. She's holding off on the refund request in hopes of an update, but anything we can play together in the meantime? Thanks.

Game seems great, obviously fps could be better with both ipad 2 & 3, but it is playable still.

One nasty and annoying bug though when playing 3 player co-op within family in lan or internet mode: two others will loose the connection to the host after about 15 or 20 mins of active play simultaneously (this can happen anytime, even if in the cutscenes). Host can continue to play on his own, but if two others try to reconnect to the game their game client will start to load the level and then suddenly shut itself (back to desktop).

The only way to continue to play co-op is to start to game all over and let all reconnect, but also loosing precious game time. The same happens with all three ipads as a host and with no other background apps running on any of them. Hopefully this gets fixed via patch soon as it really takes the fun away from co-op experience.

I am mostly enjoying the game but I am suffering from frame drop spikes which is detracting from the game.

    Is it fun? Yes
Will I still be playing next week? Hmm not sure

Just wondering if anyone is having problems with quest descriptions cutting off after the first line of text. Don't know how long it's been like that but I know it wasn't always screwed up like that.
