I just played through a couple of quests with the settings all maxed out. Still played just fine on my ipad 2. I turned the glow effect back off after a while, though, because I think the game looks much better without it. I think all the frame rate issues others are having are specific to the retina display devices. This is oe of those occasions where having an older device is actually a benefit! The only thing I've noticed on my ipad 2 is that the music gets a little choppy for a second during the load screen. Other than that, I haven't had any issues at all.
That's good to hear. I'll let my bro play on the family iPad 2 then. Thought it'd perform better on the Mini.
Universal & cloud support? Thanks for making the game universal. Does this have cloud saving like x-com? To me the best thing about universal apps is the ability to go from iPad to iPhone or iPhone to iPad.... Without cloud saving it makes universal support games frustrating since you can't switch from device to device etc... Please let me know if this supports cloud saving or not?
I can't even get past character creation on my iPhone 3GS I assume the option to change the graphics quality is not available from the start menu?
Yeah, the graphics options are only available once you get into the game, which is kind of odd. Maybe they can add that to the title screen options in an update. Or possibly just have the game default to the lowest settings automatically on older devices.
Worm boss or bosses is a real pain. Your given next to no room to move around while being swarmed by his little worm buddies. Spammed my tornadoe spell with 1 finger while downing health/mana potions with the other.
I agree on the part not being so rude.BUT The app store description makes it clear that such device is not supported.I have not the deepest feelings for people who don't read the app description and expect a game like this to work flawless on their old devices, sorry.Would not happen if some people use their brain more often than their trigger-finger. Hope that was not another undeserved 1-star rating in the store... Reading a thread before a purchase also helps to prevent some unlucky situations:
Not totally true buddy, but I'm not going to get into why, if you need answers head over to the "Deus Ex the fall" thread! ✌
Glad I'm not the only one struggling with the worm boss. Think I need to go back and look for and play some other side quests before trying again.
My strategy was to go in and kill as many smaller worms as I could before retreating out of their "spitting" range. Then I waited until I was healed up again before doing it again. In the end I dealt with the large worm on its own and killed it. Buy as many healing potions as you can before the fight though, and it's perfectly doable with a Barbarian.
Bought this because I want to support dev's who don't use freemium or iap crap. Its a good game and runs ..okay.. on my ipad2 but I have 1 thing to say to the devs. Devs:- Could you get the chain-saws out and cut down some trees a bit? theres so many around that I struggle to see whats going on at times. anyone else??
