It seems all of them. Haven't tested all modes of all of them (e.g., the 640*200 mono mode of CGA) yet, though.
Sweet. I'm not at home so I can't transfer anything yet -- I gotta call home and get the wife to download this on the iPad before it gets yanked. (Figures I'd need it the one day I let her use the iPad instead of taking it to work.) I wanna see if any Build engine games work on it.
yup: i bought this copy off of steam, the steam version is basically a wrapper for a customized dosbox. works perfect, mouse, sound, can be sluggish at times but nothing terrible.
Well just ran Hello World in GW-Basic and saved it to the "hard drive". I guess I won't be needing the C64 emulator at all any more.
^Epic! Hoping to get Commander Keen going when I get home from work. Anyone tried Keen 4? Been wanting this on iOS for 2 years.
Woo-hoo! Before Fallout there was only...the Wasteland! Wasteland rocks! I played the crap out of the game when I was a little kid, and even thought I won the game but the game didn't "end" it just kept going so I figured I didn't beat it yet.
Can someone please post a VERY clear step-by-step guide on how to get any dos game to work? I would really appreciate it.
Frontier Elite 2 works on the iPad! It is very slow though at 2 - 10fps depending on where you are (on a planet or in space).
just pull the files into the File Sharing list on the Apps tab on the right from Finder / Windows Explorer after selecting "iDOS" on the left pane:
Hmm I've tried doing this, but I can't seem to start the game. "cd games mkdir nameofgame cd nameofgame unzip c:\nameofzip.zip" Did this bit and it worked brilliantly, however when I try typing these... "dir *.bat BAT files will often be the start command for a game dir *.exe BAT files normaly just run the EXE file." I'm just told the file is not found. Any help? I know I have no knowledge of DOS, but that doesn't mean I'm not interested in the games this app has the potential to play. Trying to get dizzy to work.
SWEET!! This is what I've been waiting for! I'm finally able to play the old DnD games. I've got a quick question about the sound support. I've been able to get SB16 sound working. But I'm currently working on getting MIDI support. So far, I can get Menzoberranzan to detect my MIDI (Roland, in the setup app), but I can't actually hear the music being played. Is this even supported? Anyone else have any luck getting MIDI to work?
Whenever I try to unzip a ZIP file, it keeps telling me "file not found." The file's clearly there, though. Does anyone know how to fix this?
