The TOS specifically forbids downloading arbitrary "executable" content. As long as the content is built in to the App binary, it is okay, which is why the C64 is approved with BASIC (I am the developer ). Unless Apple has lifted this, iDOS will be in violation by allowing iTunes Sharing to get this additional content on the device. They will have a long, hard road ahead - believe me :/ I really do hope Apple has had a change of heart though!!
Chopper Commando is a bit hard to see with the keypad up, but Skyroads is great! (both play just fine) Will be trying more stuff after this next meeting...
I can't seem to unzip any files. I've tried using case sensitive letters, typing it exactly but still nothing. When I press enter the \ I typed in C:\ is written as C:/ could something be going wrong? I'm a newb at all this but I'd love to get it to work.
The UI... it hurts my eyes... (Still bought it in case it gets pulled. But I want to code an alternative now, with a better UI...)
Can a knowledgeable person type up a quick start guide for all of us novices out there? How do we transfer zip files from our computers to our devices? Any step by step info would be greatly appreciated. I got a serious hankering to play me some Bard's Tale
DOS for dummies I'm going to start a thread in general discussion titled, "Cool stuff you can do in iDos because you have it, and have no idea what to do with it". My hope is that in the spirit of brother/sister hood, those of us with more knowledge of Dos can give some step-by-step type info of cool stuff that this program now allows us to do. I want to make it clear that I'm not making a thread which details in any way where illegal programs can be stolen from. That would not only be unethical, but it'll shut the thread down from its intended, legitimate purpose. Anyone who would like to share on this thread, I'll post the link in just a minute...

You are THE BEST! Thank you for reminding me of Skyroads! I have been looking for that game for like eight years!
Well I built some old games I made in Turbo Pascal 5.5 and they worked, oh and Turbo Pascal 5.5 and Turbo C run on the phone as well. The only problem is you have to turn off the integrated debugger. I guess the iDos doesn't support the run with debug int 0x21. You can download Turbo Pascal and Turbo C for free here http://edn.embarcadero.com/museum/antiquesoftware if you want a blast from the past.
I had the same issue I messed about for around 30 minutes and nothing worked until I put it into quotes I don't know what inspired me to try that but it worked for me. An example UNZIP "C:\GAME.ZIP" First post here although I've been checking the forum for a few weeks daily hope it helps.
