yeah i've already saw that, but my question is also about running a game after the mounting, we still type the exe?
Then you know you already can do that when mounted a package as C. Do you want to auto run the mounted D as well? This is only intended for you to check the files or to copy them back and forth.
Playing the old Sierra games on here are great. I have Kings Quest 1-6, Space Quest 1-5, Police Quest 1 & 2, Quest for Glory 1-4, and a couple of others.
v2.4 introduces mt32 emulation, more info: https://litchie.com/2020/11/idos-update-v2.4 You need to find the ROM files though.
Great updates @litchie!!! I got an itch to try to push things as far as they can go and install Win95 to try and access a different library of games. There are a lot of guides available for getting this to happen successfully on DosBox in general, but is there anything specific you'd recommend for iDOS 2?
Yeah I know, but wouldn't it be cool to play Fallout 2 and Might and Magic 6 on your iPad? Anyway, I get tripped up when I try to do the mounting and formatting of the future Win95 drive since the guides are referencing vanilla DosBox and you have a different setup with Z: as an internal virtual drive with no free memory. Any pointers would be welcome (I'm not an expert by any means), but I'll keep messing around.
Interesting, but sadly I see it's a sideload only app. Resigning those things every 7 days is annoying (or requires altstore shenanigans), but otherwise looks cool.
Wizard’s Wheel, Daggerfall, ADOM, and Phantasie on my iPhone... wow. Now I just need to figure out if I can put my GOG Dos games on somehow? If so, I might as well delete every other iOS game I own because I will play Master of Magic constantly.
I need to get back into this and work out how to get the old games working. Sure it was this app or another one i had ages ago, managed to have a menu of dos games so it was easy to play them. Had Dark Forces on my phone, now that to me was my 'wow' moment !
Did you have to do anything special to get them to run? I ran the windows installer (non Galaxy) on my PC, so now do I just find the file folder and copy it my phone and run as usual through iDos? I have so many DOS games through GOG, and I don’t get to use a PC much these days, so they are just sitting there. Do you hav
Nothing special just find the game folder and copy it to idos, you can save some space by deleting the dosbox folder inside, it is not that big but it adds up if you copy multiple games.
I was just wondering: I tried to use snes9x 1.26b emulator. It works, but really slowly. I am on an iPhone 8. I wonder if it is an hardware limitation, an emulator on emulator limitation, or both... Anyone has an idea?
