No portrait mode, no manual. There are a lot of people posting guides/help like 1337brian (which compiled a relatively hefty document on it), and myself on the previous page. Good luck!
Be sure to get a fixed version, as Lemmings featured a Keydisc protection. You had to insert the original floppy once in a while for it to boot. By the way, is there any way to make iDos/dosbox recognize a mouse click faster? In most games (In Sherlock Holmes Lost Files or Lemmings for example) it does take a few taps until it finally registers the click.
Character disc save? I've looked everywhere, including the dosbox wiki. Can you write (save games) to the virtual C drive? I have a game that needs a character disc to be created - as soon as I hit create character -- I get save error. Any ideas? Thanks I tried the same game on the PC version of dosbox and it creates the character with no problem in the same directory.
Is there any file in the game dir that might be write protected? try attrib -r *.* inside the game dir
DANG!!!! I loved that game too!!! Literally spent my summer holidays glued to that game!!! Always looking for a revamp of it, but nothing has ever come close.... Excuse me while I cry and kick myself for missing this iDOS app.... :'(
nhl 93 on my iphone :] one last question though. is there a way to organize it so i dont have to go into every game individualy and find the .exe file. like something where all my games can be right next to each other and i just type it in sort of thing. thanks
I completed my little tutorial on how to download, install and run Epic Pinball (a very good table "Android", runs smooth with real stereo sound and perfect physics) on iPad/iDOS. Everything should be there. It's a good example imho. Please ask if something doesn't work. Important: Don't mix upper and lower case letters in filenames! It's much easier when you don't use more than eight characters in filenames (except extension like .zip).
One easy way would be individual .bat files per game. Try creating a file on your computer where you just input all the commands used to start the game, like: memsize=16 cycles=1500 core=normal cd lemmi vgalemmi.exe and save it as lemmi.bat in the root dir. From now on you just need to type "lemmi", or whateever you named the .bat file after, to start the game (all commands in the .bat file will be executed one after another). You can also define individual dosbox game settings this way. Hope this helps!
Thank you for the tip - unfortunately, it didn't work. I have a feeling we can't actually write to the C drive, therefore no saving or creating saves.
I think the idea was more about a compatibility list especially for iDOS and the iOS devices. E. g. Doom is listed as supported, but in iDOS on the iPad it is unplayable slow.
Yeah, correct - I noticed you can transfer files to it, but I've now tried a second game and when it comes to saving, it gives an error - as if the disc is full or not writeable. Just can't save games to it for some reason.
Try allocating freespace equal to 2gbs to the programs logical drive. That's how I've set uo dosbox so that I can install things, maybe it'll help you.
What sound options did you choose after installation? i have installed it and as you say runs perfectly, but no sound, which ones did u choose? Nvm, when i rebooted, the sound was there.

Any ideas what to do with that or find the files your talking about?
