bought, just to see if i can fire up knights of legend, eye of the beholder, d&d gold box series, or ultima underworld, ultima ANYthing
Awesome! I'ma test this out myself. Does it support XMS/EMS, DPMI? What video chipset? (EGA/CGA/VGA?)
congratulations again Cant wait for a next update, when's it coming to cydia? you already tried to implent the iphone as controller for the ipad dosbox?(via bluetooth) Do you have a changelist for your next update so far? Wich version contains more now, the app store version or the cydia version? you are real lucky with the approval by apple
Has anyone tried The Elder Scrolls: Arena? I'm playing Oblivion atm and came across this in a previous post.
Hmm, I'd been hoping someone might bring out X-Wing/Tie Fighter, or Wing Commander: Privateer, at some point. Could be worth a try on this. I imagine complicated keyboard controls might get a bit fiddley though
I hear you. I just wanted to clarify that the buttons could at least be remapped. Hopefully the virtual joystick support will give us a proper thumbstuck when it's done.
Since neither Dig Dug nor Ms. Pac Man are abandonware (both still owned by Namco) then probably, unless they remove the games. Furthremore if file sharing allows code to be side-loaded into the app Apple will probably pull it for violating the "no arbitrary third party code execution" rule (that isn't passed through Apple and offered as properly licensed DLC (where applicable) first) So yeah, get it while it's hot.
I had actually already tried Tie Fighter earlier. It starts up and seems to run at a fairly decent framerate but then it asks for a joystick configuration which the app doesn't support yet.
Thanks Code is not ready yet, and iDOS is the latest version. I'll let you know should there is any update.
Indiana Jones atlaintis seems to work .... but no audio. Now rmdir does not work !!!! Any other way to remove a bloody directory!
I can confirm that Unlimited Aventures works (including UASHELL to run hacked modules), as well as Eye of the Beholder 2. I tried Pool of Radiance and it works, though I need to find my manual to remember the keystrokes to do things (they were different than the later Gold Box games). Sound is a bit sluggish, even with frameskip turned up all the way (standard DosBox function keys work), but the games mentioned run at close enough to correct speed.
