LoL well I remember it but I was on the tail end. I'm 26 so my first games (wolfenstein, doom etc. ) were on DOS, it's cool I even found supersolvers midnight rescue! I loved that game. I figure instead of looking through 100 pages to find info or the same questions over and over someone should compile everything in a neat little package.

A very good step-by-step tutorial, brian.

I hope to provide some documentation myself after the work's done. But yours will definitely be better for people who are not familiar with DOS:)

Thanks! It's by no means finished yet, I still would like to add quite a bit like windows install, full command lists, and also app specific tips and tricks. And also build a compatibility list of games and their optimum settings. I just posted the rough draft of what I could get done between dinner and bedtime lol. ;)

What is so incredible is while playing Warcraft 1 and 2 on this thing I realized how stupid Blizzard is and how easy and awesome it would be if they just ported these games to the app store. I mean they work so well with the mouse interface where you don't jave to use ure fingers for control but the pointed is a bit aways where you touch. This kind of control scheme is genius and could totally revolutionize the rts genre on the idevices iPad. It works better than having to use three fingers at once and other nonsense. Why can't ios devs use similar mouse icons for control like this emu?

Me too. I am 26 so I was on the tail end and got into gaming around 95 to 97 and the snes was my main and really first console. I also had a friend at the time who had dos and knew how to use it so I would come to his house just to play Darklands but never had to use the command line interface of dos by myself. So just because we don't know how to use it doesnt mean we didn't like its games or were exposed to it when we were younger. You can still enjoy certain games on any system doesn't mean who you have to know how to use the system or like the system itself. I don't get why you people have such attitude of high and mightiness on here like u dot deserve to like dos games just cause u don't know how to use it or grew up with it.

Can anyone get Nesticle or Gencyst to run properly? They both run fine, but once you load a rom it slows down like crazy. Its so strange, the games you think would run crappy are running ok, but the games that you would think are easy to run dont.

I guess this app brings many back to the interest of MS-DOS itself!

PKUNZIP works with nested directories, unlike iDOS's built in unzip, but damn, is it slow! It also seems to hang when unzipping files above a certain size. Is there another DOS unzipper out there that works?

I own so many versions of all the the Ultimas, therefore didn't feel too bad about getting a quick copy from abandonia.com. Saves digging through the closet!! :p

    Oh. Hi.
Can anyone explain how to get an installer program to recognize a drive?
Installing Fallout says no drives are available for installing on.

...Is it worth jailbreaking for a while just to try this thing out? I've always been against it before, but this is really interesting... I still can't believe I ******* missed fact that the price was $1 when I saw it.
