Do you have to have at least OS 4.0 running on your ipod in order to access the file sharing option in the apps tab? Not sure if I want to update my iPod 2G to 4 OS due to complaints about memory issues and lagging. Should I update? I'd love to play some Bard's Tale soon...
Any of u guys know if betrayal at antara and return to krondor worker are those windows games?I got betrayal at krondor to work so I'm now excited to get these two on there at playable speeds.
You guys wanna know what's crazy though. Is how hardcore and complicated many of these games were. Not just to play them but to get them to run right.hopefullythis will inspire more of u to make some normal and not just softcore or casual idevice games, reminiscent of your eras you are remembering with this and what is possible with the touch interface on your ipads. Yes guys stuff like this is possible but with much better graphics and sound among things. Not every game has to be angry birds yup release, take some time and learn from the masters of the past like blizzard that don't need to be confined to a joystiq or horsepower for an incredible game.
I was a huge fan of Geoworks. I have the original floppies and CDs of every version of Geoworks/NewDeal that have been released. I too went to OS/2, but that's because I am a developer for IBM and worked on the OS/2 distribution.
I just found out betrayal in antara is dos despite the Freaking fact IT WAS RELEASED IN 97. Most of us were gaming on our n64s, windows 98's, and the playstation was in mid life back then. Freaking crazy they released dos games that late.
Steve jobs probably shat his pants and spilled his coffee when someone told him dos and windows was recently released for the iPad. Imagine being the person to tell him the news how it got through on the app store.
A bit slow at times, but highly playable. I had no trouble winning the first track. It felt a bit like playing the game on a 386, if that gives you any idea of the performance. I'd say give it a go and see how you like it.
Willy beamish!!! Probably my favorite adventure game ever!!! Check my settings (1735 and one click of CTL+F8) Runs beautifully!!! PERFECT! If you've never played Willy beamish I highly recommend it! Anyone tell me what other keys there are for adjustments?
If my mind serves me correct someone also released a Sherlock Holmes Adventure for DOS. Anyone remembers the name?
So iI got to IE and got the setup running but it keeps telling me the directory is invalid and I must pick one to install it and and everyone I choose does not work. Any ideas?
