Would love if you will post bake your results. I haven't bought this app yet, but might do - but that will mainly be for Commander Keen and Jazz Jackrabbit so I'm eager to find out of at least one of those will work.
I wonder if Warcraft - Orcs & Humans works. Would be nice to have a list with confirmed working games.
Bought! I just checked it out for a moment (at work right now), and it looks great. I wanted to make sure I got it just in case Apple changed their mind and pulled the app! Soooo many DOS games to try/test...Terra Nova & System Shock immediately spring to mind... --DotComCTO
I think there should really be a way to customize the input buttons in iPad/Fullscreen. Since every game requires different keys, you should be able to move and resize the different keys and to change how many keys you would like to have. Of course, being able to save and switch between different keysets would be the ultimate solution.
There's some customization already available. Tap the gear icon to bring up the menu, then tap "Customize Key Pad". You can then select buttons and remap them to a keyboard key. This keypad will be used when in full screen. (Flip your iPad sideways, tap the square in the upper-leftish corner.)
Sadly it seems System Shock won't work. After the command line the speaker beeps a couple of times and it hangs on a black screen.
Quick question about iTunes file sharing: is there a way to copy folders to iDOS or must I zip them first?
Instabuy. Bought as soon as I saw the title. Totally made my day. It's a shame though this gets throygh but not Moral Decay.
This is insane. Has it just turned April? epic win. That said I'll be so impressed if that earlier poster gets Ultima 7 to run
Possible stupid question time. Is there any way to quit out of a game and back to the C: prompt other than hitting the home key and restarting the app? I can't seem to find any way unless I am completely daft. It would be nice us the disc eject button on the screen for that purpose.
Thank you. Also, in case anyone else has this issue, iDOS wouldn't recognize .zip files until I changed them to .ZIP I hated having to always push the home key on my 386. Try 'esc', or type q or quit or exit.
Someone should test Leisure Suit Larry! http://www.bestoldgames.net/eng/old-games/leisure-suit-larry.php
Yes, I know. But the size on the iPad really does not work very good, neither does the positions of the buttons, especially the "cross" on the left side.
