Has anyone had any luck with fallout? I got to the opening movie with the rocket going around the plant then it jumps to the opening of the other movie then black screen. I'm not sure how to turn sound off or many other options so if anyone has had better luck please let me know
I got Willy Beamish to run. Key is to find the original Dos version as a zip online. There's a later produced CDRom version that can be easily mistaken for the original.
Is there a way to get the F-keys to show up on the phone, without pasting them into the keypad customization? Or maybe you can only have them floating on the iPad...
You have a Star Trek pinball table?!?! KEWL!* * Apologizes for the invocation of the 90-retro form of "cool". This thread sort of has that effect.
There should be a key marked "FN" in the corner when you hold your device sideways. It toggles the F-keys.
Quit to homescreen, go to multitask bar, quit iDos in multitask and it resets. Also I understand the limitations of this app, but it'll definitely fill my need for anything click adventure based.
So far i've put the A4 on my iPhone through: - Lemmings (Runs fine on max cycles, choppy sound but playable) - Pushover (Runs fine, Timer could be an issue until used to touch controls) - Warcraft (Runs, yet its too slow to ensure a good gaming session) - Laser Light (Runs, Control Problems - No Mouse Drag) - Creepers (Runs, Control Problems - No Mouse Drag) Overall i'm very happy with this emulator.
That's ok. The coolness of having a pinball machine makes up for it. Here you go: (Sorry, pinball machine*S*. And some pretty cool ones too! Don't suppose you have Space Shuttle off-camera?)
Question: what happens to universal apps when they get pulled? I have iDos on my iPhone, but I assume if I get an iPad I won't have it. Is that correct?
haha nice! how'd you actually go with this.. im on 17% as i speak... *fingers cross it works* loving iDOS !
Lucky all of you who got to install this! I was eager to get Zyclunt - Blade Warrior working on it but didn't get to get it on time
Oh, and the games i have tried so far: Grand theft auto - menu works, crashes afterwards. Liero - works fine. Mario - ok, kinda slow Warcraft 2 - reasonable, can play it. Abuse - works, but lag unplayable in game Simpsons - ok.
Universal or not, it is the same. You can reinstall it on any iOS device if you have downloaded the purchased IPA file onto your PC/Mac. I still play one of the original GW games app on my new iPod Touch 4 this way...
I registered for an account just to share that I managed to get the Tex Murphy game "Under a Killing Moon" to run. (Anyone remember this one? "Interactive Movie" game circa 1994?) Barely playable, and with definite sound issues, but still -- I would have bet any amount of money when I woke up this morning that there was no way I'd be playing this game on my iPad by bedtime... It originally came on 4 CDs, but I was using the GOG.com version, which had the CDs as iso files. Zipped the whole thing and sent it to the iPad via file sharing, and miraculously managed to unzip, mount the 4 iso files, and tweak the config file to get sound. Forum won't let me post the config file for some reason, and I'm too tired to figure out why. Screenshots:
