    Since we can kinda access the root and transfer files via itunes. Anyone think its possible to put in something like 'camera+.app' then move it to the app install folder via root?

    WarcraftII is totally playable, edit your dospad.cfg file as follows and upload it back to your idevice using itunes:

    Code:
    [dosbox]

    [sblaster]
    #sbtype=none

    [render]
    frameskip=0

    [cpu]
    core=dynamic
    cycles=7000
    cycleup=500
    cycledown=20

    [mixer]
    #rate=22050
    #blocksize=8192
    prebuffer=100

    [midi]
    mpu401=none
    mididevice=none

    [speaker]
    #pcspeaker=false

    [render]
    scaler=none

    This CFG should work very well for most demanding games out there, the trick is the cycles, experiment with the ctrl+FKeys and edit the cfg accordingly. Core = Dynamic is also a huge help.

    i cant get this damn unzip to work for the life of me, i make a directory, change to it, IE
    c:\stunts>unzip c:>stunts.zip

    all it does is drop a 24k zip file called stunts into my stunts directory.

    Can you guys tell me and educate me about something? I noticed everytime I select all the files of each game and drag them to the idos program via itunes the setup.exe tries to replace itself and each has its own setup.exe. So does it cause the programs to malfunction by replacing it or not if you used it once already or can get the program or game running with the other files already extracted on your home pc? ALso I cant get warcraft 2 to run as I tried to put warcraft 1 and 2 on there and many of the files were the same or had the same name and I think it got mixed up. There is a data folder in the warcraft 2 game folder that it wouldnt drag onto idos on my ipad so I had to open it up and drag the files to the same directory as the other game files but there was a file in there it still says it cant find.

    If it makes you feel any better, I find the situation highly amusing. :) As someone else said, just deleting the file fixes it up.

    Waaaaaayyyyy back in the day, I used to know this guy who had an interesting way of messing with people. He would log onto Usenet (a precursor to web forums, for those too young to remember) and tell everyone that he discovered an easter egg in DOS. He told them that if they typed *just* the right command, they'd reach a secret copy of Street Fighter II.

    The command?

    Code:
    format c:
    What was really funny was his response when his victims came back angry with empty hard drives:

    "Clearly you did it wrong. Here are the instructions again...

    Rinse and repeat. :D

    In case you're wondering, "copy con" basically redirects the keyboard input to a text file. It's a blind way of editing a file and you don't get to make any mistakes. In fact, "editing" is probably the wrong term. More like streaming your keyboard into a file. Ergo the gag about "real programmers".

    I've had to use the "copy con" trick about... oh... maybe twice? Ever? A better way to add a line or two to the file is:

    Code:
    echo "# line of stuff here" >> dospad.cfg
    Less destructive and easier to use. :)

    Yeaaaah, I was afraid of this happening. They've done it before with Alien Abuse.

    I'm afraid core = dynamic doesn't work on my 4th gen iPod touch. It puts iDOS into crash mode.

    Your unziping to a folder that it cannot find, ergo the created file. The easiest way is to copy pkunzip and the zip file to a folder you created. then run

    unzip filename.zip -d

    I realized I didnt know how to create seperate directories for my games and put them all in the root directory. WIll this work as long as I remember the game name to start? I dont have winzip but a mac so all the files were extracted all ready when I clicked on my downloaded game. So I wouldnt know hwo to drag all those individual files onto the directory even if I knew how to make one since I am so used to visual interfaces and idos doesnt allow dragging of folders only individual files from pc already. Also I am not sure what mounting is exactly and how it is needed? All I know about mounting is if I download something off the net and dont have the cd and use a mount program to run it virtually but this right here guys is a higher school of driving.
