Okay, got home, my wife had apparently managed to grab and install it on my iPad before it got yanked so I didn't have to transfer purchases. Now I've finally figured out why people are having problems unzipping: the unzip program doesn't like nested directories. It'll only go one directory deep so far as I've been able to tell. Messy. I was able to copy over and unzip Blood. Unfortunately this is a hacked version and the decompressor only works in Windows. But I was only able to unzip it when the archive was stored in C:\blood\ but failed to find it if it was in C:\games\blood\. Incidentally, case did not matter. Upper or lower case, it didn't care, as long as it was only one folder deep. So I copied over Chasm: The Rift. It works, although at a totally unplayable framerate -- and it worked from a nested directory as long as I unzipped it from a folder one deep. Just installed z26 and a boatload of ROMs. Testing now. Looks promising.
omg awesome! who remembers jetpack! the sound is a little choppy and screen is a little small, but its very playable! for jailbroken devices, ssh to the folder var/mobile/apps/{idos location}/documents/ and upload the folders and files there.
Many many of the turn based classics will work great. Sword of Aragon, Roadwar 2000, Warlords, for example.
Settlers 1 is fairly playable. Settlers 2 on the other hand takes about 3-4 minutes to actually get into the game
I read the last two sentences too late and it seems that I screwed up my dospad.cfg. Seems to be empty (file info on Mac: "2 Bytes", TextEdit shows nothing). Would somebody be so nice and post the text content of the original dospad.cfg ? Thank you very much in advance. (I can't do a re-install on my iPad right now.)
I feel a little silly now. I saw this post when there were no replies, but now the app's been pulled. =/
dospad.cfg [dosbox] [sblaster] # to make game faster # uncomment the following line to turn off sound #sbtype=none [cpu] # Try core=dynamic to improvement performance # however, it doesn't always work. # so we are using simple core by default core=simple [midi] [speaker] # Uncomment the line turn off speaker #pcspeaker=false [render] # we are using faster scaler outside dosbox scaler=none
Yep it was me, wow awesome. The memories from TES 1: Arena, Day of Tentacle, LOOM, Monkey Island, all these years!! *Hugs* But I never got it because I don't know DOS or have any DOS games :/ Never mind, these screenshots are epic anyway.
I don't think so. Win95 and above requires a 32-bit 486-class processor or better. Since this is based on DOSbox 0.74, only 386 (16-bit) support is included. Didn't help. I tried everything -- quotes, full path, relative path, caps, wildcarding, etc. -- but couldn't get it to unzip anything nested more than one folder deep.
