you are a idiot , thinking abandon ware is illegal... and my name has nothing to do with anything in the context tool is one of all time favorite bans and you sir are the one who is delusional.
TY to who said to lower the rate to 900 for keen, it helps a lot on my 2g touch, dropping it to around 400 makes it 90% playable.
Jazz Jackrabbit actually runs ok. Need to mess with NES to get it playable. Skyroads my fave dos game ever runs just fine besides sound.
Sad face Wing Commander 2 seems to crash But civilization 1 works!!! fer some reason my copy of wing1 is having problems getting unzipped, so uck
i think people will find that games produced between 1988 and 1993 have the most chance of success with this version of iDOS. Wasteland runs better than it did on my 8086, whereas Syndicate is a little (a lot) laggy. Perhaps - and let's hope this is the case - this will turn out the same way the C64 emulator did, with publishers able to sell old games in an officially supported iDOS store via in-app purchase. it is pretty bonkers that it made it into the store in the first place, let's not forget. I'm hoping that the reason it was pulled was the preinstalled media (copyright issue) and the near root access to the filesystem. With any luck, the developer has been informed what needs to change and is making the changes now.
show me where its illegal? seriously? that site has been run for years...nothing on that site is illegal...any games that are protected cant be dl only demos are available...it would of been closed down years ago...
No, it is not piracy. It is technically copyright infringement. And it is the responsibility of the copyright holder to enforce said copyrights. If they chose to not do so, then there isn't much to discuss here. At the moment, I am happily testing out games that I own (and have for some time, thankyouverymuch!)
Since we can kinda access the root and transfer files via itunes. Anyone think its possible to put in something like 'camera+.app' then move it to the app install folder via root?
I'm guessing that most of the games offering lasting replay value across various iDevices will be turn-based, like older RPGs, or adventure games that don't rely on lots of animation and timing. I'm hoping to get several RPGs up and running, so that I don't have to comb the app store for the latest RPG that turns out to be lame—although I'm sure I'll still buy DH:2!
It would be great to start a list here, along with any tweaks/settings. I plan on doing some testing when I get home from work. 1. Commander Keen 2. Civilization 1 3.
