    1. del *.* on your iPad, making sure you back up your config files first
    2. or, mass-selection in iTunes and pressing the Delete button (at least under OS X - not sure about Windows).

    Doing nothing of importance.
    Somewhere
Whoever asked about the Hugo games (I think it was LostLegend), they work fine on iDOS. It's EXTREMELY laggy for me, but then again, all games have been, even the original two it came with.

Man I can't wait to get an iPhone 4... This is gonna blow my mind running at full speed.

I think I'll give the Metal Gear games a shot next... I tried running Monolith's Blood, but it wouldn't get past the DOS4GW thingy. Bummer. The first Hugo game ran no prob, so I'm assuming the other two would as well.

Any way to speed things up? It's almost painful to play on my iPod due to it just being ridiculously slow.

    in idos just type:

    del <nameoffile>

    presto!

am running this maself on iphone4. i notice on the ipad version there are icons for control pad/joystick. question is, are these emulated and how do i access this on iphone. sorry if answered before, read a few pages and not spotted a solution.

as for gimmick and unuseable, have to kinda disagree on this. it depends what you chuck at it. some controls are pre defined to be quite idos friendly, so to speak. ambitious RTS and the likes will run sluggish and have some control issues. ive had a decent success rate for control and speed problems but all i wanna do is play sensible world of soccer without using keys :D

    Thank you! It worked!

Another question: when attempting to run a game, it keeps saying "This program must be run under Win32". What does this mean and what do I do?

Well, send me some suggestions! Day of the Tentacle was quite playable, but everything else was too sluggish. Oh, and drawing on Paintbrush on Win 3.11 made me chuckle.

The only issue I see is maybe slight problems with sound, other than that it works great for me so far.

Think Grim Fandango will run? Probably not . . . I think you need Win95 for that.

What do you think it means?

The program must be run under Windows, duh. It's not a DOS program.

I've heard some dumb things in my day but GOD DAMN, son. It's not some cryptic error message. It means exactly what it says.

Relax, don't turn this into a youtube comment box. Also have you tried Full Throttle yet?

No one can be THIS dumb.

I also don't get people who have no idea what DOS games to try or even how to move around in DOS, but are excited about iDOS.

Why the hell are you excited about it? It's like being excited about buying an Atari 2600 except you never played it, know any games, or how to turn it on.

    I don't get it.

Just found that by using Fn + Ctrl + F11 to reduce CPU to 920, Commander Keen 4 plays nearly perfectly, WITH sound and good framerate. (iPhone4 iOS4.0.1)

Asked for the disc and/or said it needed to run on Win32, can't remember which it was. Same thing for The Dig, unfortunately.

Settlers (both 1 and 2) are too slow to be any fun, same for Warcraft 2. I was excited like crazy for this, but there's little to be excited about :(

It's a Windows-only app and won't run under plain DOS.

How do you disable sound in Dos?

You might want to reconfigure your particular game, unless it uses automatic audio card discovery.
