Ok as a dos newb I for a game (zeliard) to work but only by dragging each file from the games folder form my mac to my sync'd ipad individually by the add command. I still was unable to add or drag entire folders. So now I have all these files parallel to the games folder but at least by typing in zeliard.exe after dir it starts up. Also, is there any mouse support? How do I use the mechanics of the mouse on this emulator like moving it around the screen?
It is not available in Canada anymore. In fact, I'm certain they hit a global killswitch on this one. Turned their keys simultaneously and everything.
This definitely goes down as one of the greatest days in the history of the app store. Glad I finally got one of those cool banned apps. PLAY IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT, PEOPLE!!
idos games? i thought idos came with a few games installed. does anyone know how to find and play them i think it came with pacman
I think you typed it wrong....under C:\games\dizzy3> you have to type unzip dizzy3.zip Don't go unzip c:\dizzy3.zip
Glad I grabbed it early. I'm also kinda surprised it lasted as long as it did, but its death was inevitable. I'm just glad it slipped through the cracks in the first place. Say, any devs know if an app gets yanked because it violates certain rules, does the dev still get paid for units sold before it was pulled?
So it truly is down... Man, just about to buy it. Just trying to fing out how to put the games into this app. Only really wanted it for elite and frontier, and after thinking about it, they'd be impossible with virtual controls (considering i suck with keyboard and mouse) So not too much of a let down after all. it's reasons like this I want a Dingoo a320 (a little £100 handheld emulator, but you need to jailbreak this to make it any good and it takes a little technical knowledge/the ability to use your best friend google (to get properly working emus along with pc ports, one of wich is frontier)) I would like to say that my ipod is not jailbroken, as the apps are generally well priced, and I like my warrenty.
I just realized that this is available to jailbroken devices as DosPad already? So, if you're jailbroken, you can still essentially get this app, as well as any future updates. http://www.litchie.net/apps/dospad.html
I was playing around with some the commands within dosbox looks like you can get filesystem access in iOS: Code: mount d / d: dir I'm too chicken to see if it's only read-only or not
Woot! Got it just in time and I'm playing a game I've always wanted - Loom - the touch screen even works to move the "cursor".
Oh that HAS to be why it was pulled. I can even see this being blocked in 4.2. Wow just wow. A jailbreak app from the App Store?
Oh. My. Goodness. Definitely living what I've dreamed of for 2 years: Commander Keen 4 on my iPhone4. It's freakin' brilliant. Downloaded a zip with Mobile Safari (+Safari Downloader), moved the zip to the Docs folder for iDOS, unzipped, installed, and it plays. Sadly, sound is quite choppy, so I disabled that, but the gameplay is surprisingly good. Really hope everyone else was able to get it and enjoy it. (Time to acquire the wetsuit from Miragia)
Yeah, its pretty powerful. Got it just in time and immediately dropped and emulator to be left un-named on it. Works great. Be careful all you who purchased it in time. Don't sync up through itunes to drop in app data or you'll lose it. There are plenty of apple friendly apps that let you manage app data. I suggest FileApp in conjunction with their pc app DiskAid. Works like a charm.
