Ultima 7?! Can you share a screenshot of it running your device pretty please? Is it the vanilla Ultima7 or the Exult flavor?

 

For those with jailbroken devices, SSH into:

/private/var/mobile/Applications/UNIQUE-ID-OF-APPLICATION/Documents/games

you'll have something else instead of UNIQUE-ID-OF-APPLICATION. just sort by folder time created and you'll find it.

....drop your EXEs, COMs, etc into there

I'd bet $$$ this is going to be pulled, btw.

 

So ... I wonder how effective running an Atari 2600 emulator under this DOS emulator would be?

I'mma try that out when I get home....

Thechansen, I really appreciate your reply. Tried changing core to dynamic in the cfg file but still comes up with EMS error.

I'll keep messing around as it might be my device, running on 3gs.

I can't connect my phone to iTunes right now so maybe someone else can check. Is it possible to edit the dosbox.conf to launch a program (such as DOS Navigator) at startup?

For those who are interested, Computer Gaming World(old pc game magazine) came up with a list of the 150 greatest PC games in 1996. This could be a good reference in tracking down games that could possibly work on iDos. There are a lot of games I haven't heard of and will be eager to try out. Here is the link:

This is quite amazing lol, just installed the shareware version of star wars dark forces and booted it up on my 2g touch, I don't think it's going to fully run as it still seems to be loading, but it's quite awesome to play around with DOS again after all these years, great little app, glad to own it before it gets into trouble, which it might do since it can run windows of all things lol.

ok i cant get anything to unzip please help. I have tried
unzip c:\ultima7.zip
unzip c:\ULTIMA7.zip
unzip c:\ULTIMA7.ZIP
unzip c:\ultima7.ZIP

what am i doing wrong it keeps telling me file not found but its there

 

Type in "cd games" (without quotes) Then press return.
It should show C:\GAMES
From there, type the game name and press return.

dunno how to run other games though atm.

 

In iTunes, make sure the file is named ULTIMA7.ZIP

In iDOS, type unzip ultima7.zip
