Anyone try any of the Ultima games yet? Instabuy if they work, I'll buy three copies of Ultima Underworld works!!!
Thank you! That seemed to work as I didn't get any error messages, but now the .exe file won't work. Any ideas?
You may as well have just written my name as the title of that thread. Of course that would have left out everyone else except for me for whom that thread should prove to be a godsend.
Is it possible to organize the games in folders? When I extract a game it comes in many files which just lies in C:\ and that get's messy when dealing with several games.
let's see, i wanna get: wasteland dragonlance gold box series interstate '76 (if possible) syndicate mechwarrior II the 3D intensive games may be too much for the chipset in the ol' A4, but damn it if I'm not going to try.
to everyone: download this for a easy way to select and start games you copy. just copy all the files to /documents. i dont know if this works in itunes...can you copy folders with itunes? Else creating a workaround is easy, just figure it out http://www.megaupload.com/?d=MJ0Z83A8 mouse works to with this app.
^^THIS. I've been wanting to play Wasteland on a portable device for ever. I still have the floppy's for it somewhere.
Seems to be temporarily unavailable. But it's just DOSBox right? I've got the 0.74 version, is this the same?
For those of you who don't feel like dabbling around with command line, here's a useful filemanager. http://www.ritlabs.com/en/products/dn/
actually the FIRST part of the file name needs to be upper case, and the extension needs to be lower case, at least that's how it works for me. so for example "unzip c:\ARENA.zip" works, but ..ARENA.ZIP didn't.
Have a friend of mine currently ripping his DOS Freddy Pharkis CDROM to see how iDOS manages disc images. Dosbox is fully capable. If this works... holy shit. Suddenly this traveling around the US and living out of a suitcase lifestyle doesn't seem like such a good idea when I'm SO FAR AWAY FROM MY 7TH GUEST DISC...!!!
Elite!!!!!!!!!! oh god I am playing a proper copy of Elite for the first time in at least 15 years. happy days, just leaving Lave now
It's a simple gui file manager for DOS. You can use the touchscreen as a mouse, select and execute files by tapping them, etc. It's pretty sweet. Download the Dos Navigator 1.51 binaries (786K), copy it over with iTunes file sharing, unzip it into a folder, go into that folder, and type DN to start it.
