Great idea. I've only scanned a few DVDs, but it works perfectly so far. I do have another feature request though; I'd like to be able to separate movies from tv shows so I have the option to browse only proper films.
Do you mean that all of the fields are automatically filled out for you? Could you give me an example for which this works? I tried many DVD's and Blu-rays (of all region codes) and NEVER were any other fields filled out besides title and cover.
Not all fields are filled, but all of the more important ones are. An example is "Inglourious Basterds" On Blu ray (UK)
Just bought it and the scanning works great! Unfortunately there's one Blu-Ray I can't enter because it doesn't have a barcode on the jacket. (The barcode I guess was on an outer sleeve, which was missing when I bought it used.) It doesn't look like this update includes the ability to search by movie name instead of bar codes alone (which seems like a pretty big oversight). Any idea when this will be added?
i def. need search by movie name also & quick!!!! scanning here in belgium results in nothing, nada, zip! tried already over 100 movies (dvd's & blu-ray's) but none of them works.
Liking this app so far. No problems other than special DVDs not being found such as Friends special 5 episode DVDs. It has found most of my movies just fine. I do have a question. Is it possible to enter all the info on my iPod Touch and get that same info onto my husband's iPod Touch without having to re-enter it all? Thanks so much for a great app!
I have a couple of movies without artwork. It says "add picture", but there doesn't seem to be a way to actually to that. The films are Apollo 13 on region 2 DVD and the wrestler on blu ray.
dang! new version still hasn't "search by movie name" c'mon dev. how hard is it to add? people outside the US or UK can't scan a single movie succesful.
