Yesterday I installed the new iOS 5 software on my iDevice. I have to say, that I love it! So far, so good! But then I wanted to make gain of the new automatic syncing feature with iCloud (no wire needed). I did what Apple's webpage told me (lock iPhone, connect it to power source (to load up battery too). And waited for about 5 hours. Then I plugged it off and checked on my settings page in section "iCloud" and saw that it there says: Last iCloud Backup: never? It seems to me that it didn't work. Am I doing something wrong? Too I was wondering where all my back-up date will go to? Third, do I need to have my Windows computer connected to wlan (I have a very lame connection with wlan on my computer, however the iPhone WLAN quality is amazing) to make it function? Thanks you in advance for you kind help.
Mine seems to work but one thing I did have to do was connect the ipod up to iTunes beforehand and change the setting on it's summary screen to enable it. I think if you have your pc on the wifi network even if it's cabled to the router like mine is it should work ok only exception is strangely enough macs which for some reason have to be on the latest OS. My IOS5 install was far from trouble free with me having to put on all my music again and remove and reinstall some apps with data issues but the wifi sync has been trouble free for me so far. Edit: Ignore my whole post I read the wifi sync bit and my brain skipped out the icloud part which I haven't enabled as yet I probably won't bother.
