I backed up my iPod Touch running on the cloud, and then restored it, and yet, some of the videos (which I recorded via the device) which I had on the device aren't coming back. Are they gone forever? Or is there something I am missing? Help! Update: The iPod Camera Roll has 4 photos listed and says "Downloading 4 of 60" Update 2: I closed 'Photos' all together and it now says "Download 65 of 121"
I never even enabled iCloud, Apples internet servers I find in general are absolutely terrible and I doubt iCloud will change anything there. It's hard to be sure if you have lost your data or if it's apples servers being flaky as usual, I certainly wouldn't trust iCloud with any data I valued though. I'd say give it a day and try again and if that doesn't work the datas probably gone.
yeah, i do not trust icloud stuff either.. its been around for a while and there is a reason why it has not caught on... but they still try to push it down our neckd.. shrugs.. about the only thing i use the cloud for is to upload large files to download elsewhere then delete.. which is becoming more handy just for fact more and more pcs are not coming with dvd roms. chris.
The cloud; whether it is iCloud, Amazon, Google or any other provider - is fine to move data from one device to another but I'd never trust it as the ONLY backup of any file or media that I valued. I also have no faith in letting any provide 'backup' or 'store' media that I've purchased without having a local backups (or even multiple). What happens when that provider decides that the copy of 'Nekkid Babes Gone Wild' that you purchased is no longer suitable for your consumption and arbitrarily deletes it from their cloud and perhaps your device as well?
