Last I talked to the Bellyfish dev, I requested a little smoother and responsive movement on the icade controls. He said he is working on it.
Ok, need some help getting geometry dash dev to put in icade support. Here http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=200268&page=10
I check local auction site and find there is a case for iPhone 5, like a slide-out BT keyboard, which has a slide-out iCade-compatible joypad!
Yeah thats a great retro style game. The devs going to be doing more games like this so i presume they'll also have icade compatibility. Great news for us
From Remote File Manager thread: Definitely I consider iPad + SNES emu + iCade a great value. Maybe the best 2D gaming source avaiable in the scene. There are hundreds of masterpiece all players should play, because they are very funny and because of their "historical" value. They are better than tons of App Store so-called "retrogames" simply because they are THE source of inspiration, a model to be replicated. So... let's say thank you to Remote File Manager dev for bringing it on our no-JB devices and let's enjoy it. Are you wondering what I'm talking about? Are used SNES cartridges still pretty available? I'd be interested in grabbing some and then downloading the matching ROMs, but not willing to straight-up pirate them without owning the title already.
Seems a bit over the top. If you have the cartridge its still not legal to own the rom from some rom download site. You own the physical cartridge not the rom. Its like saying you have some record from the 80's and its 'okay' to then own the mp3. So that argument wont work. If you buy the game its not like Nintendo or the original dev gets the money. I would worry about whether you go over the speed limit when driving and things like that rather than worrying about 20 year old games and whether you should play them or not. Because of us retro fans making retro 'cool' again a lot of companies have published old games and made a lot of money. I personally wouldnt worry about playing some 20 year old game
Just found out that Sonic the Hedgehog 1 has iCade support. This is a Christian Whitehead upgraded version with widescreen support, silky gameplay, unlockable characters and multiple save slots. iCade works in menu and on screen controls can be made invisible (manually). He also made it so there are multiple action buttons and separate start button like on Genesis. It's awesome!
What a magical find. When I updated to the Whitehead Version I thought it was beautiful bar the controls. Sorted with iCade. Fantastic, Yellowknife.
Surprised!!! But no mention what-so-ever in the appinfo... Hope Sega includes this in the rest of her catalogue.
