^Damn sorry to hear that, sounds weird but i honestly know how you would be feeling ! I've got my ipad 2 backed up but still nervous in case i somehow lose iMame.

I dont want to jailbreak my device BUT if i somehow lost iMame i probably would

Always keep an eye out on twitter/touch arcade in case iMame or something similar is on the app store for a day (or hour). I'm still so thankful i managed to download it last December before it was taken off.

Did you set up your pad from iTunes on your PC?. I set mine up from iTunes on my computer and the AppStore version of imame installed onto my 3rd gen pad no problems. Other than that I don't know what to suggest. I've just checked the purchased section on my account in ITunes and Imame does not appear at all, my guess is that apple have pulled from the servers completely.

If it comes down to desperate measures you can always join the iOS Developers program ($99/yr) and download my iMame4all Xcode project and install iMame as many times as you want on all your devices. Just another option available to you.

Also, I try to keep the project updated as much as possible so it will always be at the latest version as opposed to the App Store version which will most likely never be updated in the future, unless Apple restores it.

I did same... Installed apps, not a backup restore, but selected apps in my iTunes library and installed imame. Then used iexplorer to add my roms. My ipad2 is JB.

    Hi guys,
many thanks for your support/suggestions. I have set up my new iPad by restoring the iPad 2 backup from iTunes. Also as I have had some problems with my Ipad 2 I have had to restore my iPad 2 as well and just after that I have lost my iMame from my iPad2 too, even though the app is still appears in my iTunes with all my purchased apps...
A colleague of mine gave me his iMame.ipa and his iTunes account details. Do you guys know if I can install his .ipa file on to my iPad by using his iTunes account. I am desperate...please tell me that I can do that..please:(

Sounds logical. Copy the ipa to you apps dir, or drag into iTunes. Then install. It may then be fine since you already owned it? Else if that fails, try and log into his account just until it verifys? Then go back to yours. If you owned it, it,should be fine.

I'm not sure if all JB my ipad3, if I needed make I would. Else it is nice to have Blutrol... I'm still torn. I do like I ifile via JB... Allowing me access to the file system. I have being locked out of my own computer.... Yeah' I'll prolly JB it again.

    Imame lunar lander? Controls

Anyone know? I knew this used to work... Now when I try to play the controls don't make sense. The stick configured to 2 way or 4 way turns the lander left or right... Rotates it. But one way thrusts the other turns off thrust?

Buttons, configured as. One, two or four don't work right, one is full thrust on and another? Or second hit was thrust off. Weird?!

Have you tried to install your ipa with something other than iTunes? I have iMame working fine on my IPad 3 but I didnt use iTunes to install it.

I got my iPad 3 on launch day. Since this is my first iPad, I didn't have any previoulsly downloaded iPad specific apps to sync. So... instead of updating iTunes on my pc I used "iFunbox" to sync a select few apps which included iMame. You can also try a program like "iTools" which basically does everything iTunes does without the limitations. Both are free and can sync apps without iTunes' restrictions.

If iTunes is not cooperating, I would try to install your personal iMame ipa with one of the above instead of using your friends account and ipa. That can sometimes cause confusion if icloud features like auto app downloads/contacts syncing etc. combine/exchange with both accounts. On windows ....your ipa's are located in my documents>my music>iTunes>mobile applications, I'm not sure where they are on Mac.

Yes mate I did it. I tried on PC running windows both CopyTrans and iFanBox without any luck. I got an error message (installation failed) as well. I also tried to install a couple of purchsed apps just to make sure that the softwares were working properly and I managed to istall them without no probs at all. Just my iMame won't install. This is seriously driving me nuts...I cannot find any solution:( So depressing:(

Anyone try star fortress... The guy makes 3 games or so and they're all classic retro style.. I love vector graphics. But I have not bought any of them because of lack of icade support. One is like star castle which I can't get to work on imame. I can on mame on pc... Not imame on I device.

Anyway, was hoping we might all contact him, and stress our desire to buy if he adds icade support.

    Paper Monsters... Finally!

A couple of days ago an update came out that finally provided iCade support for Paper Monsters. I think the YouTube iCade gameplay video released by the developers made some people think that support had already happened a while back. It seems it was more of a preliminary testing video.

Top left red button is used for jump. How do people feel about that? Is it just too whingey to wish that if there is no reason not to, to make all buttons in single button games the action button?

Should developers be using red buttons at all accept for menu type options (or rare 7-8 button games)? They are pretty close to control stick...

I am really enjoying Paper Monsters though. Very polished for an iOS platformer.

I get your point but i'm just thankful Paper Monsters has iCade support as many devs still dont bother.

So whether its just one red button or a black button or a whole row i dont mind as long as it works.

Thanks for the tip, just bought all 3 of his games. Huge fan of vector games (got 3 folders of them !), somehow had missed these out. Shame about iCade though

    RE Paper monsters!

And amazing price... I have paid several times more for much less and was disappointed. This is priced to sell!!!!!!!!!! I think it's one of the most polished, rather THE most polished of all platformers. And probable best value in the app store.

I do find it a little unforgiving in damage/lives.

I love vectors, do you have spectre? I love them so much I used to have full size stand up battle zone in my family room. A few years till wife said sell that thing!
I can't figure out how to contact the developer... Might have to buy the games then leave feedback? He has a blog, but no way to post to him.

Another for the collection... Cosmic Castle! Also. Needs iCade! Game needs some tweaks, but all the basics are solid. And FREE
