IMame for ICade or iOS5 update for my IPad 2?

The subject line says it all.

IMame is by far the most fun thing on ICade. But the only roms I can get to work are the ones in the package on Cydia. And I've played through most of those. I've downloaded so many different Roms and use that conversion program and nothing shows. I'm an idiot at adding or converting Roms for ICade. So Unfortunately, I''m not playing it as much as I used to.

Is iOS5 worth losing that? Potentially for good?

Two adantages to un-JB'ing my IPad2 is my Skype and Time Warner apps that won't work on JB IPads will work again :)

Anyone else in my situation decide what they're going to do?

Get a Mac and a dev account; then, you'll be able to deploy iMame4All w/o jailbreaking or, alternatively, ask a friend with these to register your iPad 2 and deploy it on your iPad. I've even written a tutorial on this: http://boards.openpandora.org/index.php?/topic/5522-tutorial-compile-imame4all-for-xcode/

    oops!

    Hi JCat, and everyone...

Apologies for missing this post guys, yes, we hold our hands up. In the process of adding some new tweaks and features we managed to 'break' iCade support, deepest apologies guys.

The update that restores iCade functionality is currently with apple and will be out in a few days.

Below is a list of the tweaks we made, mainly based on feedback from TA members over on the Plum Crazy thread

    http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?p=1871102&posted=1#post1871102

    * We've now added tilt controls, which uses the accelerometer.
    * You can now skip controls in the tutorial if you really don't like them.
    * Each level now has twice the number of checkpoints.
    * The pause menu now allows you to change your control method during a game.
    * The iCade and Joypad controls are working again, oops! Sorry about that!
    * Tested on iOS5.

We fixed it as soon as we realised, again sorry.

    All the best
    Al

    There's a pretty cool........

.....looking game called Retroid that supports iCade. Not tried it yet but it looks like an old fashioned belter.

It seems to support iCade indeed. From the game (clever) description:

I bought it and can confirm that this works. The game is a little strange, but pretty fun. Worth 99¢. It sort of feels like an Intelevision game that was made on the N64.

It's not exactly a firm statement, but if you read through the League of Evil twitter feed it SEEMS like the next update will be 1) universal and 2) iCade compatible! I hope this is how it falls out, LOE is probably my most wanted iCade game right now.

Yes, they said on twitter that the already submitted update makes LOE universal and adds full iCade support, including control of the menus via iCade, and portrait mode.

    Hi,

we (Gamebrausch) have just released a retro game called Bob's Action Racer that supports the great iCade. I presented it here. It's so much (more) fun on the iCade :)

It is funny. I tought that it was forbidden to put iCade compability in the Appstore description. And now, I see more and more games with iCade in their description. Has something changed ? ;)

AppStore description does confirm Icade support for iblackjack Hd, but why does a blackjack game need ICade support??
Also I agree with RayZZoo some devs are mentioning the Icade outright in their AppStore description some are not what's going on with that? As I also thought mentioning the Icade was forbidden.
