I'm having the same problem, not all games but most. Must be an iOS8 bluetooth issue. Hope it's fixed soon. I submitted a bug report to Apple, maybe you should too.
I've done that but i've got no faith in them after the issues i've had on my iphone (where it says update app but it opens the app instead) on ios 7.04. I'm updating my ipad to ios8.1 but if its the same i'll probably jailbreak it. I think it would take Apple forever to fix this bluetooth issue. Whats worrying is that using my iCade on the Vectex app its fine. But using it on Gridlee it stutters all the time. Now i'm not normally a paranoid person but the only issues i've had with the iCade are with Gridlee (not any other icade apps).
All the Llamasoft games stutter, Pinball, Air Attack HD, Orange Pixel games and a few others I can't remember right now. Plasma Sky and Star Cannon are OK though.
Ahhh okay its actually 'good' it seems to be mostly global, i'll stop my paranoia about Gridlee ! I tried to report it but it kept coming up with a phone number or chat box, trying to email the query. Let me know if you get a response back tomorrow
I contacted ION about the problem too, hopefully it will be fixed soon. UPDATE: An employee at ION contacted me and said they believe it's a matter of developers updating their games to work with iOS 8. Oh well, I tried.
Damn that's a pain. I'm gutted I updated my iPad to ios8 now Might see if I can somehow reverse it or jailbreak it and see if mame is any better on it. Pain !
Well tried for hours to see if i could roll back to 8.12 but Apple have closed that loophole down Tempted to get an ipad 2 now, annoyed at myself for upgrading, i did that on my ipad to make sure things worked in case i ever wanted to upgrade my iphone. Never thought bluetooth would mess up. Frustrating ! Any replies back from Apple ?
No, I don't expect to. I restored my iPad hoping maybe it would fix it, but it didn't. I did free up about 2.5 GB of space though. I have resorted to playing emulators on my TV with the OUYA until things get fixed. Many may not know that the iCade works great with the OUYA. I ordered an iCade Core to use just with OUYA. You won't find a cheaper wireless arcade stick, $17.99 on Amazon (US) right now.
Thanks I think i'll sell my ipad and get an ipad 2 (ios 7.14) so i can get back to playing tons of MAME games on my icade. Damn, all this because i stupidly thought i'll install ios8 on my ipad, doh

I feel really bad even mentioning this at a time where people are struggling with ICade after updating to iOS 8, but for those of you who are still in the 7s like me I installed Retroarch on my iPhone last week. Due to being at 7.1.2, I could still change my date back for the initial install. Boy am I glad I did. I am running everything under the sun on this thing. GBA/GB, NES, SNES, Sega Gen/MS, TurboGrafx 16, Atari 2600 and MAME!!! Why am I posting this here?!? Because I'm playing everyone of these games with my ICade gamepad! So much fun to be had! Oh the nostalgia!
Yeah i'm still so fed up after installing ios 8 on my ipad ! ios 8.1.1 has just come out which 'apparently' fixes bluetooth issues so i'll try that shortly I was going to buy a second hand ipad 1 just for my icade ! Does anyone have an ipad 1 ? Interested to know how good Gridlee games work on it Edit - Nah Gridlee still stutters on ios 8.1.1 Time to buy a second hand cheap ipad 1 !
I just ordered an icade. Does R-Type and Tengai work with the icade? Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man still works with the icade?
On my old iPad1 I still use the iMame one that hit the AppStore the year before Gridlee. Gridlee works well on my old iPad2 though, which I've kept on iOS7. I tend to keep all my old devices as I'm quite sad like that.
Can you let me know how iMAME works on the ipad 1 ? Is it decent ? Most of the classic 80's games work okay ? (Eg Bomb Jack, Bubble Bobble, Commando etc ?) Sold my ipad2 to my sister years back when i got my ipad3, stupidly put ios8 on it so i'm screwed ! Thought the latest update would fix the bluetooth issues but nah so i think i'll get a second hand ipad 1. Can you play lots of MAME games on it with the icade fine ?
all the classics work beautifully in iPad1 in iMame with iCade. The old NES ones don't (the coinop ones) but the rest work great. What I live about my old iPad1 is that it can't go betond iOS5 so I can't ipdate the iOS by mistake. It does feel quite chunky now though but it fits like a glove into the iCade cabinet.
