Yep hope you carry on posting in this thread. I dont see the issue, just as you ask for icade support in various game threads theres people who constantly ask for game centre, or widescreen support, or universal support etc Still love my iCade because of Gridlee and some other games. A great looking device
Yep - keep it up, Connector. At the end of the day, let's face it, we all post too much. Still love my iCade and still love it when a game I love gets iCade and sometimes a little part of that is down to your persistence. Keep it up.
Invaders from the Dead https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/invaders-from-the-dead!/id720127588?ls=1&mt=8 This is from the same guy who did the versions of classic tabletop games - Astro Wars, Galaxy Invaders etc. Its a 'new' game which is meant to look like an old LCD tabletop game. Well worth picking up. Bit like Centipede
Hi I have just added iCade support for these current retro games: Astro Wars https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/astro-wars/id665882635?ls=1&mt=8 Galaxy Invader 1000 https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/galaxy-invader-1000/id663775893?ls=1&mt=8 Galaxy Invader 1978 (the original one) https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/galaxy-invader-1978/id661671099?ls=1&mt=8 Invader From Space https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/invader-from-space/id665882269?ls=1&mt=8 Also, a brand new and original zombie/ghost game but in that retro style and just in time for Halloween: Invaders From The Dead! https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/invaders-from-the-dead!/id720127588?ls=1&mt=8 Check it out. Its not too bad! More to come. Go to Beatsnbobs.com follow us on Twitter, Facebook etc Cheers!
Yep was just about to post they all seem to have iCade compatibility now Been playing a couple over the weekend. Granted i'm a bit biased as i'm a HUGE fan of these old tabletop games but for an old gamers (or young ones who want to play old classics) these are superb. Again its amazing to think that back in the early 80's i had one of these, going through tons of batteries etc, now all these years later i have these old classics on my iphone, crazy !!
I've got to catch up on this thread! In the meantime, two things: 1. Has anyone tested the iOS 7 updates of apps to make sure iCade support hasn't been lost as MFi support has been gained? I'm assuming there's no such trend to worry about (yet)? (Plasma Sky's update said iCade support was removed "hopefully temporarily" as it was causing a crash. Sounds fixable... I just want to make sure it's not true of numerous iCade titles before I decide to let them update.) 2. I see a couple more iCade games are on free sale right now... Bomber Cat: http://appshopper.com/games/misu-misu-kaboom Rat on a Jet Ski (good old Donut): http://appshopper.com/games/rat-on-a-jet-ski
Hello. The games listed above by me ( Astro Wars, Galaxy Invader 1000, Invader from Space, Invaders From The Dead, do work on IOS 7.03 You need to re pair device and maybe force shut down apps first to make sure they will work properly as they would be in suspend mode. Thanks! Rob
Sad to see this forum has been abandoned lately. Super Lemonade Factory part 2 is out with Icade compatibility! Yayyyy!!!
That's good--thanks for the heads up! I keeping failing to make time to test a bunch of iCade stuff in iOS 7... but I mean to! (Not that I really expect problems.)
2 player iCade games Nice to see the iCade is still alive! Just the other day I realized Forget.Me.Not can be played by 2 players on the same iCade (one player uses the stick, the other uses buttons). The only other game I know that supports this is my own, Vector Star Brawl... Anyone know more games that work this way? I love to play 2 player games with my son, and it's a plus if we can do it on the iCade... Also, talking about the new controllers... It'd be nice to see a new iCade that can work both with the old system and the new (maybe with a switch of some kind). It seems the wireless controller has to be an extended one (with analog sticks), although it'd be nice if Apple would allow a standard wireless controller with the iCade layout...
Donut's Cows in Space now supports iCade: http://appshopper.com/games/cows-in-space And it looks like they have a new game, Sunday Lawn Seasons, which does as well: http://appshopper.com/games/sunday-lawn-seasons
Has anyone tested new update of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 yet? When Sonic 1 was updated a few months ago, iCade was thrown in too.
Reckon the days of games having icade compatibility will be pretty thin from now on For me personally i'm happy Pinball Arcade/Vectrex/Atari but most of all Gridlee are icade compatible. Be interesting to see if ION release a new iCade but based on MFI controllers (hopefully still icade compatibility though)
