Has anyone been successful with selling Ibooks in app store that you have authored?

Unless you have a book through one of the big publishing houses, going the iBook route isn't the best way to go. As a publisher myself (and a writer as well), I've looked into putting something out and decided against it. you need to have the development tools which run about 100 bucks plus the fee Apple takes, etc etc.

It's far easier to create something for the Nook, Kindle, or create a .pdf file that can be sold online at smashwords and other places as well. since the iDevices have a kindle app, you can sell that way, and probably do better.

    Hello

I have 3 works (small writings) in Smashwords which are going into Ibooks soon.

Also I have them on Amazon Kindle and Nook etc.

All I want to do really is try and make money to invest in my game which will cost around £25,000 to use a proper quality developer because there really is only 1 competition in my niche I have to compete with in app store and they make a million a month. Yes I am dreaming but the odds are in my favour for at least a few grand a day.
