I'll ruin this moment for you and tell you that the app actually sucks, you can see a ink tree and move it around as it "grows" and then some chinese symbols appear, big woop. Might make a nice wallpaper, but its def not gonna stay on my iphone... I mean, Ipotch

It's not really a game, but I found it kind of neat nonetheless.

It's definitely worth it to pick it up at its current price.

How long does "neat" stuff last on a device?

Depends on how neat. I found this more interesting than, say, Koi Pond.

As long as you like it to...

I probably open Koi Pond and Freshwater Aquarium once a month, depending on my circumstance and mood.

This is ok. I'll be editing the screenshots to make very zen wallpapers, but other than that, its just ok. I wish the bonsai could expand indefinately. That would be nice. And a menu to select which one you wanted.

I agree on both points. It would also be interesting to 'cross-breed' trees, so you could do some experimenting; the ability to toy with the algorithms so you alter the number of branches/leaves would be a great little diversion.

All in all it's not really something to spend a great deal of time on, but I like the overall design and the 3D aspect of the trees.

Would be cool if theyd make it into a real bonsai simulator, with a tutorial on how to cut and all.

Was looking at my updated apps and it seems version 2.0 is now out. This new version includes ambient music, an interactive shaping tool, growth speed adjustment, and a hands-free loop feature.
