I am letting all the mokis roll free (using wheels and bombs to push them out of their starting positions and the balloon to kick Greenie over to the flower). I'm also using the black bars to smooth out the bumbs in their path. I bring them all together and give them a boost with the last bomb. (I haven't seen Jon's solution yet but I know this morning he said he got a 315 on Reunion so look for improvements )
I posted a solution for Mokitozor: Boss HERE. Just so you know, we had it down to 11.3 seconds and it was still 354 points. I think 11.2 is 355 if you can manage to get it down that far, but more you speed up the big guy the harder it is to get the perfect bounce on that last hill to get him to the goal.
That's funny. I finally had a eureka moment last night, and I came up with a solution that is very similar to yours. I knew I had to get rid of the cart, and I finally thought: what if I use wheels to push the mokis out of their perches. And it worked. So I use 3 wheels to push all of the mokis out. When the pink moki (furthest left) hits the ground, I have a bomb that propels it forwards. It meets with the red and pink where there is another bomb similar to what you did. For the black moki, I attached a rope and balloon to it (no spacing in between), and when it gets high enough, I bomb it so that it catches that highest flower. I was able to get a 306. I think I do have some room for improvement, as I didn't try to tweak it after I did that. I still have more points to go on Mokitozor. You and Jon are way ahead of me. I just can't figure out where. I'm thinking maybe Monorail now. I have a 223 (I think) on that level. Just seems like another level where I am missing something.
As I mentioned in my previous post, I got that high flower in a slightly different way. But it looks like Manny is pushing the green moki off with that wheel, and then it bounces off of the balloon (as it rises) and into the flower. You probably just need to play with the timing and positioning of the balloon.
I posted my Mokitozor Scores on the high scores thread. These should be able to go up by 30 points at least.
Noah's Ark (MountainLand) solution I had a moment of clarity the other day and, after a ton of messing up, managed to solve Noah's Ark in 18.9 seconds for 273 points. I'm sure there's room for improvement since I have two bombs left over. Here's the real trick: And, of course, timing is everything: That's it! Let 'er rip!
Jon, nice solution for Noah's Ark. I had to try it out, but I got way too frustrated. Everytime I tried to tweak the balloons the whole structure would come undone. I guess that would be my biggest complaint about the game -- when you build stuff with lots of rope, if you move everything around it all becomes unconnected. So I went back to my old solution and increased my score by two to 247.
You're killing me in Mountainland and if you only have a 247 on Noah's Ark (I have a 242) then it must be another level you're beating me on. What do you have for Rollercoaster? I'm at 204 and I suspect I can increase it, but that's another one of those levels I hate messing with.
I had a 247. I finally got Jon's solution to work for me, and I'm up to 271. So that gave me a 24 point increase. I only have a 200 on Rollercoaster. Agreed that Rollercoaster is not a fun level to tweak. I noticed that you guys made a huge increase on Blowingland. I went back to check it out, but I only managed to get 2 extra points on the Well (I'm at 322) with a slight modification. I really don't see where I could get another 40ish points.
We made improvements on Grand Totem and Tower of Pisa. You got that Noah's Ark one to work huh? That must be where you're gettin me on Mountainland. I couldn't get the stupid thing to work. lol
I have a 165 on Tower of Pisa and 303 on Grand Totem. Guess I'll have to take a look at those two. I barely got Jon's solution to Noah's Ark to work. I had to increase the time of the bomb (that releases the big moki). Otherwise, the big moki would hit the platform, knock the smaller ones off, and then roll of itself. Actually, when I did get it, it took me a minute (when the score screen popped up) to realize that it actually worked. Besides that I appear to have around 25 more points on you. I made some tweaks last week -- the only hint I can drop there is to think about tying mokis together on levels where you have to bomb groups of them.
You had a 303 on Grand Totem I had 341 when I retired. You must be trouncing me on some earlier level then
