I am currently working along side a dev to make an app. We were wondering what would be the best ad "agency" to go with. We have iAd and Admob in mind right now and would like to know the pro's and con's of each from devs who have used or will be using them. If iAd and Admob are not the best would you mind descibing which one to go with? Thanks
There is a great thread on the iPhone SB google groups. Mainly developers are saying iAD has great eCPM but has fill rate issues. http://groups.google.com/group/iphonesb/browse_thread/thread/99417156ffd39efb
You should put iAd as your first priority with another agency as a fallback. Mobclix have an SDK which does management of this for you. http://mobclix.com

So for example you start by using iAds with have a horribly low fill rate but pay good, when that request fails you move over to another service. I like mob fox currently the earnings per click are high IMHO, anyhow you can look at adwhirl and mobclix etc as 2 possible out of the box mediation layers. Or you can make you own in your app, not to hard, that is what I currently do. Im finding I will need at least 3+ or more ad providers to get good world wide add coverage. Example iAds are mostly in the US...
