I have two apps with iAd. Haven't seen a single ad show up in over a week. I know the banner hides itself sometimes, but to hide for that long? Don't get me wrong, I don't miss it. Well kinda, they were pretty nice... What's the dilly yo?
Steve was so excited over it it was one of those 8 features on the new iPhone that he spoke about at the keynote wasn't it. I've only seen 2 iAds, one on appshopper app and another Nissan leaf one somewhere
while a neat concept - I laughed when I first saw it, advertisements are annoyances at the best of times. I still doubt it will take off, but I have eaten words like that before.

Good riddance if it is dead, I remember myself thinking "Apple wtf are you doing" when Steve Jobs first announced it.
All they're doing is providing developers another potential revenue stream, nothing sinister about that.
I've never really thought they had much of a place within games. Games are a means of escape from all that. Not that I'm opposed to all advertising, a "More Games" button on the main menu is most welcome. Plus if you're racing through Times Square, then they're just adding to the immersion.
