About 3 hours ago the apartment across from where I live was robbed. Door kicked in and everything. I have been out for the past 3 hours talking to the police, neighbros, etc. I met this suspicious man who said he was a friend of my neighbor's home who was robbed. The entire story seems fishy as if it was an inside job and I can't close my eyes to attempt to sleep. I don't know what to think of the situation because the homeowners said they went to dinner with the suspicious man I met and came back and the door was kicked open...The wife went on to say her purse was stolen, along with 2 labtops, and 2 tv's, and even their cell phones. The story gets fishy because she went out to dinner without her purse? without her cellphone? and when I returned home I looked in their still broken down door and saw her typing on a labtop?! She wasn't calling any credit card companies for canceling them, or worried about anything. Infact at one point she mentioned her iPod was stolen..Are you serious?! Your house was just robbed and your worried about a freaking iPod?! At one point she even began laughing...I just don't know...my head is full of so many questions at this moment I just had to put them somewhere.. I hope everyone has a safe night and God Bless.
From what she is saying yes..and that appears to be the main thing she was mad about. But honestly who would leave their purse with there ID, credit cards, etc. at home when your at "dinner?" Also the Husband said that burglaries like this happen a lot in Florida. So I asked where he moved from and he said North Carolina. But the "suspicious man" I was introduced too was from Florida and is only visiting here. So how would my neighbor know how Florida works is he's from N.C...so many questions!
Well nothing new has come up yet. My neighbor has been running around all day, not sure what he has been doing. Apparently this is the 6th robbery in apartment in my complex, even if it was an inside job. I was unaware of all of this until last night. It seems as if the Supervisor here has been keeping all of these robberies under wraps. My neighbor posted something about the incident on the board where you post anything your selling, or if you got mail that's not yours etc. Well this morning the note has already been ripped down as if the owners don't want anyone to know that this place has become a Hell hole. I'm currently checking out other condos, apartments, etc. and plan on leaving in 2 weeks. This is just unacceptable. Not to mention, the supervisor didn't show her face once last night, along with the man who is head of management. Three workers live on site, who fix stuff, deal with broken appliances and whatever else they do cause it seems like nothing. Not a single one of them woke up and came to fix the door for 3 hours, and at midnight, the new employee who doesn't even live here showed up to fix the door. The lazy staff here doesn't even care enough to show any remorse for what happened to their paying homeowners. Can not wait to get the hell out of here.
That's great management policy: Not only did your door get broken down, but now you don't get a new one so if the guy comes back with a gun, he can finish you off! Any chance it could have been the workers that did it since you haven't seen them? Maybe they didn't show up because they knew they would be interrogated.
Yeah, everyone at this moment is thinking it's someone else. Because past a certain time, the gate is closed and you either have to know the code or follow another car in to get access. Not sure if it would be a worker, but it's a possibility. The weird thing is, their door is maybe 6 feet away from mine. And who ever decided to rob the place must of been crazy, not knowing if I, or one of the many people around us could have came by. The distance from where the car could have been and the door is maybe 30 feet or so, and for no one to see anything is quite odd. The owners above my neighbor who was robbed, came out when they heard all the chatter, and said they were watching a movie when they heard what sounded like a door being slammed and just turned the tv up. I'm still skeptical over the fact that the wife left her purse and both cell phones at home when they went to "dinner." They also stated they didn't have renter's insurance, which I think was a lie. So either they actually were robbed or set this whole thing up to try and make a quick buck, or who know's what. Either way, whatever happened forced me to constantly be on the edge of my seat with my cell phone by my side at all times.
hey but at least you werent robbed, happened to me bac when i was a kid...all my worldly possesion were gone...I couldnt believe no one saw it as our apartment was right next to a busy intersection
True, but it still makes me worried. Walking out my door and seeing there door with a big ol' dent and shoe print on it is not something I enjoy seeing.
Went out to dinner and left her purse at home? Impossible!!!!! That just doesn't happen. Ever. Definitely an inside job...
What about a can opener! Back on topic: Yeah, you really should get the hell out of that place. I'd be scared sh*t if I stayed there.
what about ammo? but i suppose youre going to reply with this: Who needs ammo when you have Heinz Baked Beans?
