Depending on what country you're in and what hospital you go to. If you are in the uk, there's different degrees of what youre sectioned under. I suffer from Bipolar, and was allowed to use some electronics during one 5day period, but I was only in a mania. It depends on so many factors, its not as cut and dry as you are making out, not unless you're in a country where you get sectioned involuntarily for 28 days, but thats only in extreme cases anyway.

I understand that you weren't allowed to use Electronics, but have you ever considered the fact that this is (A in a different state (B a mental hospital you haven't been too and (C the rules might be different. For all we know she maybe able to use Electronics.
Here's the thing, we all know it's quite possible his friend is talking out of her ass, it's just that we're willing to let it slide and give RttaM the benefit of the doubt on the slight off chance it's true. Do you know how hard it is to OD nowadays? you can be pumped hours after OD and survive, you could die and be revived (happened to me 3rd time). And don't bring the ED thing into this they gave a link to an article that I FOUND on ED
