For anyone wondering what happened or for people reading this out of boredom, I renamed. Administrators wouldn't rename my old account, so I had to make a new one. Therefore I had to retire my 2.5 year old account with over 2000 posts; totally worth it.
Don't wanna scare you, but making a secondary account could mean trouble, especially if the admins refused to rename your old account. Hmmm, dunno, can't speak for them, but there was sth in the forum rules.
People did it before. I was in contact with a moderator through the process and he was the one to suggest making a new account after my rename requests were ignored by administrators. Having two or more active accounts is bannable, but my old one is inactive now.
Yeah i wouldnt say its advisable. Someone did it before (who now has one of the worst forum user names ever ! - Sexy Pirate ?!?) But yeah its not good as if everyone changed their name it'll get very confusing. Plus the latest fad of favourite Disney films might change every year or so !
I chuckle everytime you mention the name Sexy Pirate as being the worst name ever haha. It's like the guy is mocking you from the past. And don't worry, I'm sticking with this name for good. I'm not really a fan of any other disney films.
Call me old fashioned but when you create a username for a forum you simply keep it Think of it like a tattoo, once you get it done you've got it for life, no changing your mind now and then
Yes. I agree, but I have good reasons. Unfortunately discussing those reasons here would get me banned. Oh and on the topic of "future favourite Disney films"; Frozen 2 is rumored to come in 2018 or later, so I'll be in the clear again with this name
condolences to you for your first account. With second account, you must have a lot things to do now...
Yeah, that's what I also meant. If everybody changes his name at will, you're totally confused later. That's what always happens on Twitter, when some people change their screen names (nick names, not the user-/account name) 5 times a week. And yes. Horrible forum name, especially for a guy. I imagine a male "sexy pirate" as Johnny Depp in stockings and heels, so upon seeing that name, it always gives me a chuckle. And just for the record: men aren't "sexy". Men are handsome, or attractive, or even charming, but not sexy. Women are. I mean, what next? Renaming myself to "Gorgeous Dragon"? Thanks, but nah. And in the end it's anyway: to each his own.
I agree, but it got to the point where I felt like someone else is taking credit for my posts. Again, it's a long story, but I just had to rename.
