Game like Echochrome Not exactly like it, but some type of puzzle/action, that uses the similar mechanics.
how about a stealth game like the real metal gear solid, not the improved duck hunt app with a mgs name branded onto it and dont forget to add a storyline
A game called pull my finger. The finger is elastic and responds to touch, when the user pulls it to the bottom of the screen the screen scrolls, so you can pull the finger really long when the finger is released, a fart noise is heard, proportional to the distance the finger was pulled.
Pa-ra-re-na!! Wiki on Pararena Review of Pararena 2 Pararena was on Mac System 6 or 7. It's an ideal game for tilt-control. Plus it would be great to play online against others. I'd make it myself but I can't program and haven't got the time to learn it.
Oooh, a game like Ragdoll Kung-Fu or that free turn based fighter. The touch-drag controls would accent the cartoony style and style of the game itself.
Sorry if this has been suggested, but make a virtual pet game with a twist. Those are my favorite. Something that captures people, like Pocket God. I'd instantly buy XD
This may be a very time consuming idea, I might be pissing in the wind here, but perhaps you should look to Daggerfall or Arena (Elder Scrolls titles) for gameplay inspiration. I could probably come up with a dark fantasy setting or a modern fantasy setting if pressured. Currently the best in that department is The Quest, which has a turn based gameplay style rather than using FPS style controls. And I'm not sure if Id would be okay with this or if there's copyright paperwork keeping you from doing this, you might be able to use wolf3d's control schemes. (I personally use the move on left, turn on right control scheme). If you're new to the dev scene, something like this would also work with a top down camera and virtual D-pad and buttons. I'm already part of a creative project involving a new PnP system. It's not finished, the detailed skill info got lost somewhere along the way (lost in transit on a friend's computer or flash drive), but the main setting is pretty detailed as of yet. Plus the system is so simple in the implimentation of most of the mechanics that it could easily be applied to a computer game without much comprimise. Anyway, the big thing is that there's a real lack of decent RPG's compared to other genres and absolutely no Castlevania (castleroid) style games on the app store. that market would be an easy one to sell to if the app was decent.
I'm still waiting for someone to make a water dunk app. You know like when you got to a fair and throw a baseball at a big button and some clown falls in the water tank if you hit it. I don't think anyone has done this kind of iphone game yet. I'm also looking for apps with piranha fish in them. Don't really care what the premise or objective of the game is though, as long as the game is fun, creative, or interesting. Realistic or Fiction. I had a few more ideas for apps but I forget them right now. When I remember I'll post them.
Personally a huge RPG fan and i like to see them done right.... Being a past Diablo 1&2(LoD) player Underworlds hit a soft spot and although insanely fun i was a little dissapointed to see the a level 10 cap and such a short story, "Hey can you clear out these rats for me?" and within 15 minutes your already roaming around "Hell". Don't get me wrong, i think this game did a lot of things insanely well, the loot and target and analog were all top notch. I would just like to see something like this taken a little farther, higher level cap, more dungeons, more enemies, more LOOT!! I also wouldnt mind seeing another neat RTS on the iPhone...Something starcrafty or maybe with a military theme, also with multiplayer. Don't know if these ideas are over the top or not but just my two cents. IMO: Hero of sparta already has better graphics then the Psx, and diablo was released on the Psx, sooooooo.....
Get permission from other devs of popular games to use their characters. Then make a kart racing game like mario kart with the drivers being popular iphone games
drawn to life port would be a hit!! i would buy it.. i also would like to see those games with detailed scenery where you can just destroy and smash everything, like cars and buildings, sorta like the PS2 transformers 1 game. or a katamari-like game, only you destroy with the ball, not collect things.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Someone needs to make RSVP for the iPhone. It'd be perfect.
im trying to get some devs to make my game in which you have a robot with telekenesis along with a person that you control too. its a really fun idea... it also has a bit of draw to life with the ability to make shapes to build stuff. and i made a new game genre to kinda like that side scrolling tank game(cant think of name...) except you are not a tank your a hovering robot with telekenesis that has a human controller...
