Enjoying it but having the same problem I have with Dungeon Raid -- I think I'm having a great game and then my score ends up being lower than expected. Not sure if I'll ever truly master the game, but having fun trying. :p

Edit: Like this game, I thought I was doing pretty well. True, it all went bad in the end. But it was the first time I got an equipment "upgrade" and I was making decisions more carefully. But my score was lower than before.

Well if Metal, Exact, AND AppUnwrapper like a game then I'm in. Downloading now.

I watched your video AppUnwrapper and you play like I would. how the hell do I get that experience. Oh wait. What the hell is that!! I think I can make it! I was cracking up watching you play.

    Lol

  3. Lol things do make more sense as you continue playing. Still confused about a few things. And I wish there was a way to compare my scores to others -- just see how badly I'm doing. :p

Pretty interesting game here. Got past world 1 on first play through. Got consumed by nemesis about half way through the second world. Fun stuff.

Same here. Got 537 in my very first run. I've only scratched the surface, but im really enjoying this. What im a bit confused yet is the number of moves Nemesis makes when life reaches 0.

Since i have completed one "area," i gained 1 key, which i used to unlock a new avatar (new face). I was hoping there would be base stats between the faces, but sad to say there isnt any. Maybe i shouldve saved the key to unlock an event or something else.

But that means i am going to play this game a lot more coz i am loving it. :)

The only real downside to IKHTD gameplay wise is that not all mechanics are easy to understand on the get-go. Every other aspect of the game i am absolutely in love with. The other downside, no online leaderboards it seems... Just local.

I predict that when i understand the mechanics more and more, i may like this even more than Dungeon Raid, which is obviously, saying a lot. Dungeon Raid was definitely a more puzzle-heavy hybrid, but IKHTD feels more of a survival and dungeon crawling variety.

I pouring money into this just because I want the devs to know that they aren't forgetten. Who knows, maybe Dungeon Raid 2 will be a thing eventually? ;)

Anyhow sounds like this could be good but I've never played that board game people say this is similar to. I guess I'll just have to find out myself..

A little confused on exiting the level. Will hitting a couple of those key spaces by the exit be sufficient or do I need to collect keys from somewhere else on the level?

  9. 2 keys from around the exit, then head onto the exit.

Has anyone managed to make it to the third floor yet?

I'd completely forgotten about Dungeon Raid. I can't buy this fast enough.

Yup... And it's not just 2 keys. Succeeding doors will require more keys, so you need to walk around the door first in order to unlock. Becomes really intense when all you are holding are monster tiles and Nemesis is coming closer and closer.

You basically hold hex tiles with crossing paths and exits on them. You can connect these tiles through their exits by placing them on the board, essentially creating a path for your character. That easy. :)

The hard part is maintaining a good amount of attack, hp and def, while being aided by the skills you unlock and the stuff you upgrade. This part is reminiscent of Dungeon Raid.

    Really loving this one too.

Touching and holding down on the "eye" logo in the title speeds up the trvelling/warping animation in the background. Letting it go slows it down. Pretty cool touch, though i dont think it does anything in-game.

  15. Sob. I was so close to getting to the 3rd floor. But my nemesis caught me at the third key. Just kept getting Snags. :/

Regular Snags arent that bad... The bosses though... There is one where its atk is set based on the number of tiles already placed (!) and there's one that gives you this tile that reduces your life by "your total amount of HP" which effectively becomes a "one tile less" on hand.

  17. Yeah, most were special snags. Still trying to understand how the nemesis works when I run out of health and it only eats up some of my path, restoring some of my health in the process.

One of the special snags works weird in that it says it eats up a card to its right every turn, then gains 5 attack for every move that it's all the way to the right. So I thought maybe I could use it to eat up a different snag I didn't want -- but it wouldn't. Then I got rid of the snag to the right of it finally and forgot all about that whole thing until the snag had like 40 attack. :/

Just got to third floor in my second play through. Didn't make it very far in though. I think my score was 715 or so. As EP said the challenge is in keeping your stats up while advancing forward. Really good so far. Easy recommendation.

In one of my runs I was lucky to get the "+1 shield per turn if shield is less than attack" perk when i was building full attack :D

I still had too low of base HP though, so lesson learned. LOL

  20. OMG I keep getting so close to the third floor and dying. :(
