I just restored my Ipod Touch, does this delete all my music and apps?

Jailbreaking has its advantages as long as you use them wisely (I.E. NOT pirating, just using it to customize your iPod to your liking)

Anyway, I've had this problem before, what happened to me was that I had a backup of my iPod that I wanted to restore it to, but by mistake I let iTunes make a backup of my newly restored iPod with nothing on it, and this backup overwrote the previous one I had with all my data. So then I was forced to restore to a 2 month old backup and lost most of my game data.

But normally you should be able to restore to your most recent backup and keep all your data/settings.

that's wrong, if you restore from a backup iTunes made then all the data for the apps that were installed at the time the backup was made will be recovered

that doesn't make sense, how can you sync songs and apps to your ipod with a library that doesn't have them?

I don't pirate, but what are the disadvantages of pirating, other than trust, money, breaking the law, etc.?

You can get the apps for free, not the media (songs, movies, tv shows, etc.). People, back up, please!

    Australia, mate!
If you backed up, then you should be fine. Just sync your iTouch to your computer now.
