Aww ... come on now, I like my Wii! It's not my 360 by any means, but it's not meant to be. To compare it to a 360 or PS3 is just wrong!

That being said, yes, pretty much ALL the Mario games rock.

FPS's the Call of Duty series is ok, but I honestly have more fun with the Link Crossbow game, and you can get that with the little plastic gun thingy for 20 bucks or so.

We like the LEGO games for it too. I think there is Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, Batman, Starwars ... there's a few. They are fun, not complicated, and a great way to pass and evening in team play :)

If your looking for hardcore games, you won't find them on the Wii, but if you just want fun stuff to pass the time, any of those or any of the sports games should keep you amused for not too much cash!

    Enjoy!

I was looking at Madworld last night. I might have to try it out. I just watched a couple videos of gameplay and it looks pretty awesome.

Ok.... Not a traditional FPS or especially violent but how about Metroid Prime 3? I haven't played this myself but I have a freind who says it's a must play game for the wii.

Galaxy 1 & 2 are the best games this generation.
For gore/adult... MadWorld, No More Heroes 1 & 2, Red Steel 2, HOTD: Overkill.

    Others:
Zack & Wiki, A Boy & His Blob, Metroid: Other M, Okami, Lost Winds, World of Goo and last but not least, Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Upcoming: Donkey Kong Returns, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Epic Mickey.

Pretty much any first party title is a must. The thing is, platforming and party titles (with the occasional great exception, like SSMB, but again, a first party title) dominate the platform. FPSs, good ones at least, are hard to find. I personally gave up on the platform a little a while back. I might pick up a new sensor bar when Zelda: Skyward Swords comes out... maybe.

Definatly get Metroid Prime Trilogy. Although I would much rather get metroid other m, because I am a great fan of the original metroid's. (bought every single one).

Also, I hacked my wii two days ago out of boredom... Kind of pointless, but hey, I can watch DVD's on it now.

If you want a game that involves co-op online, definately pick up Monster Hunter Tri, its great!

These are what I consider the best suggestions for the system.

    Metroid Other M rocks......
But it's kind of sad at the end.

Metroid Prime Trilogy is a ridiculous deal.

As for multiplayer, that's why SSBB exists.

Just bought Madworld from Amazon for £2.55 brand new! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sega-Madworld-Wii/dp/B001J6NCAY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1284587792&sr=8-1

(ok I had to pay £1.99 postage but still a bargain for what is supposedly a great game)

Like most people have said, get Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 (Galaxy 2 is probably the best game I've played this year and yes I own a 360 and PS3 too, and no, none of the games I've played on either of these systems have come close in terms of sheer brilliance, deal with it fanboys) Zelda is awesome on it too and should probably be available cheap as its so old now.
