All my devices are set up to my old laptop which has really had it,there's no memory left, it doesn't hold charge,.it's really an old hag... so I finally went out and got a MacBook, but now I'm afraid to plug any of my devices in because once I plugged my iPod in to my sisters laptop and everything disappeared and i was scarred for life over it.

How can I do this? Nothing is backed up either..I directly download my songs and games from my device...

If anyone let's me know I'd be forever in your debt, for your priceless advice (nirvana song) lol

But seriously, I would be very thankful.
    Thank you :)

Firstly I'm assuming you mean iPod Touch. If not, disregard.
Here's a simple tip: Once you plug it in and iTunes pops up, don't let it sync EVER until after you've done a couple things.
    1. Hit the "Transfer Purchases" button. This will put all your apps onto the computer. This may take awhile, though.
    2. Find a way to get all your music/vids/podcasts loaded on your computer. May work with the Transfer Purchases, not completely certain, but I think at least the music will)

You don't have to do those things, just make sure that it DOESN'T sync, and you should be fine...if you sync it it'll put all the stuff on the computer onto your itouch since it hasn't been set up as a whatchamacallit for your itouch/appleid and will replace everything (essentially getting rid of it).

Note I'm not an expert and if this DOESN'T work (even though I'm fairly certain it will) don't blame me for a malfunction. But if it doesn't sync (not counting during the "transfer purchases" spot, because that's fine) then there's no real way I can see it taking your stuff off your device. I do use a PC though.

Wicked as! Thank you both so much for replying!

    I wasn't expecting a reply at all.
My quality of life will drastically improve when I can increase my iPads memory by storing stuff on my Mac. As I'm already assuming paper monsters is going to be huge and I don't have anywhere near enough room.
and I was worried for a while there that I was going to miss out.

I'll write down my list of favourite games before I do anything, just to be sure, so if they do get wiped I know I can just redownload them from the AppStore off my account for free, it's mainly apps, not too much music, as my music is stored on my iPod touch, and my games, photos and contacts are o. My iPhone, and mainly just games only iPad. Games are the thing I'm most concerned about. I'll give it a go very soon ;)

    Thanks again :)
