Awesome idea. Should I start artificially inflating my post count now or wait until this is implemented?
I think the easiest way to stop lurkers would be implementing spoiler tags like on other vBulletin forums. I know on at least one forum I've visit, you need to be logged in to view certain things. I'm sure there's a way to make spoiler tags function this way. This way, developers can either embed their promo codes if they want only TA members to use them or they can post them like most currently do.
But then you get people who register just for a code! Like somebody else said, we could have to have a certain number of posts, but then theres more spam.
LOL... you peeps are so stewpid... Read the friggin' thread - and you'll know why it died and should stay dead.
Dunno if this has been said here already... But aren't all you crying about lurkers... begging for promo codes in a way?? I hear that's frowned upon here... Besides, I've seen so many "took GHGBGHFTYB, thanks" posts, but you don't leave a review anyway. Greedy little bastards.
This +1 Well, checked some of the promo code threads, then checked the AppStore. Guess what? No reviews from the promo takers, especially some from this thread. YOU should be ashamed. Not the lurkers. Some of you take and never give something in return. So you dare to complain? Btw., do I really have to explain the difference between "lurkers" and "leeches" again?
Well I agree with you of course, but want to point out that I for one have a different app store name than my name here so it goes to reason that others do too. We might never know if a person who did not post on a thread (or DID post on a thread) actually gave a review on the app store.
If I take a promo code I make sure to leave a review, I don't always leave a review, but I try to review and at the very least give the app a rating.
Sorry, NEG - have to explain further: well... the devs gave out 10 and 20 promo codes and there were only 2 reviews at each game. But one time 6 and the other time 11 people posted that they took a code. Much less reviewers as promo codes taken from MEMBERS. So - why protect promo codes for some very unreliable members? I think this says all.
