I have the newest itunes (no idea what version it is now). I deleted a couple of games like Modern Combat Sandstorm so i could free up some space on my ipod. Now with the new update on it, i want to put it back on my ipod. Problem is, itunes wont let. When i plug in my ipod i press the applications tab and tried to click the box next to it so it will sync onto my ipod the next time. But itstead it has to take off all the checkmarks so i would have to recheck them all. So I have 2 questions from this

    1) What can i do to fix this?
    2) If i recheck all the boxes i want, will it delete the app data?

Sorry if this is confusing but i cant think of any better way to write this right now.

So basically you checked it back and then clicked 'Apply'? It should work but that's odd... You might want to contact Apple Support via email or give them a call.

If the game is not on your iDevice, then its app data is already deleted when you remove it from the device.
Edit: Now I understand what you mean, it's a pretty weird problem that I never saw on my iTunes, but I assume your app data won't be lost, if an app is checked for syncing and the same version of the same app is already on the device, iTunes won't bother to touch any part of it at all, even if they were purchased from different accounts, I've tested this before.

As for the syncing problem, iTunes usually unchecks any app that fails to sync to the device, could be unauthorized account or apps on the device exceed the 5 account limit, etc. There's also a very slight chance that your app got corrupted during download, both iTunes and your iDevice will check the integrity of the package but I've seen they fail to detect the corrupted package before.
