I usually get gift cards from much older relatives, or family friends that I don't really know, so I'm always happy with them, as before I had things for me to get gift cards for (HMV, Topman, Other clothes/games/music shops) I got things which were weird or that I didn't like. Just be more grateful, so what if there is nothing you want from that shop, see if you can switch with your parents for money next time they go their, or just give it to someone else.
