My family uses my brother's credit card for iTunes because our old account gat hacked and my mom's credit card was charged thousands of dollars. If I want something, I ask him to put his credit card on iTunes so I can buy it, then he takes it off. Yesterday, trying to show him I couldn't just get tetris it said I needed to edit the billing information. That message has shown before, so I thought nothing of it, but, now when I try to get any app or upgrade an app, even a free one, it cancels it out and says I need to edit the billing information. I checked the billing information to see what was up, and I noticed that my brother's card was on there with everything but the security code filled in. When I tryed to take off the credit card, it gives me an error message because I can't change the card type to none. Any ideas of what I can do?

I had that exact same problem. Do you owe money? Because what happened to me was I bought a $1 app, and I went to get some updates and it said billing info needed to be updated. So I checked, and it said my card couldn't be verified for the purchase. Everytime I put the security code in, it said it was wrong. I tried putting it in multiple times for a week. Finally, I just had to switch cards, and everything worked fine. Out of curiosity, is your brother's card a Visa?

Yes... Why? Also, you just described my EXACT problem. As I mentioned already, I showed my brother that I couldn't buy Tetris and that's how this started. I have no other card to try, and BOTH the eliminate AND minigore updates came out today.

I had this problem, I just entered the 3 digit security code on the back of the card into the empty slot and it all worked again after that.

Because the card I was having trouble with was a Visa also. I think it has to do with Visa..maybe they have security measure or something, idk. Anyways I'd probably try calling Visa and seeing whats up with that, and then after hearing what they have to say, call Apple. And let me know what you find out because my Visa still won't work :)

Idk then  it was never really a problem till recently. Before I just entered the code and it worked, but this last time it wasn't working from Nov.26-Dec.5. Even now, it doesn't work, I just switched cards.

I know what you mean by that, I couldn't have foreseen this problem especially considering that I have been directed to the page before without this evil loop happening. I'm kind of wondering what Apple is thinking right now, because a lot of people in the world have had this problem but Apple still hasn't taken some measures that should be taken to prevent this. In my supplemental research on this error, I found almost ten threads on Apple's support forums of people having this issue since early 2008. Some people on those threads publicly stated that they were so frustrated with iTunes and Apple in general that they just returned their iPods or downloaded music illegally. I am almost as frustrated as them because Apple decided that since my iTunes account was disabled, they should release the updates to eliminate and minigore.

Apple, if by a slim chance you are reading this, FIX THIS FRICKIN PROBLEM! I am not the only one, and it is really annoying especially if you only have ONE CREDIT CARD!
