Thumbs way up from the first few minutes of play. The visual style and gameplay kind of reminds me of Judge Dredd on the Super Nintendo which was great although Huntdown, expectedly, has a bit more visual punch. Definitely going to pick it when I get a chance.
No matter how often I read this it makes zero sense. The other guys are probably right that the 20 seconds from loading screen to actual game makes the game unplayable for him (?) Pity that there is no "Weirdest comment of the month" category. I think this one would be an easy winner
One of my favourite games from last year, would love a sequel or just a new game with different levels. Bought this when it came out, love it
Same here, though I'm stuck on the twins and haven't picked it back up since getting my ass handed to me multiple times by them!
It’s pretty sh1t. It’s extremly stressfull and at least I thought it had bad control. If I recall this game doesn’t support physical controllers at all. I just know that I bought it and I don’t have it installed anymore. I always save good games on the ol’ ipad and this got binned directly.
That’s unfortunate. It’s a fantastic game, nice throwback to snes side scrolling platform shooters. Just checked and it has controller support. I think I first played this when it came out and I always used a controller.
It does..? hm, maybe I was thinking of another game then. Will look into it, parhaps it’s my bad here.
I downloaded it again just to be sure that I was not crazy, but my verdict stands. But you are right about the controller. I has full controller support. The thing is, the game is lures you in with a easy premise and I feel after stage two it becomes pretty rubbish. The grapics and sounds are excellent but it is just a pretty front. The game is sluggish. Even with the latest M1 ipad. Something just feels off with the way the character handles and moves. It’s not snappy and precise like in Contra or Mario Bros. Here it has some weird delay and feels ”off”. It’s impossible to play a 2d-scroller with bad controls. I knew that it was something about this title that made me uninstall it. Also, after a couple of levels it gets really cheap and chaotic. Stressfull I would say. Not a game for me.
Love this game. Feels great to me, even without a controller. 4.9 rating on the App Store and other thoughts in this thread also make me think I’m not alone.
You most definitely are not. This is one of the best games I've ever completed. That I took the trouble to 3 star the entire thing says plenty!
There's no need to defend the game. This dude just has some hot takes on a bunch of great games that others genuinely enjoy.
