M@realobjects Well-Known Member Dec 11, 2011 53 0 0 Germany #3 M@realobjects, Dec 20, 2011 Well, depends on the response we get. This is our first game, so we have quite a lot to learn. But if we can justify it, we will definitely do either an HD version or go universal. M@realobjects Well-Known Member Dec 11, 2011 53 0 0 Germany #4 M@realobjects, Dec 20, 2011 Free version I forgot to add in my original post that there is actually a free version of Hungry Turtle available: Hungry Turtle Free (App Store Link) It has 24 unique levels which are not in the full version and is supported by iAds. eAdvisory Well-Known Member Nov 22, 2011 1,090 0 0 Detroit #5 eAdvisory, Dec 20, 2011 Game Impressions This game is amazing. its mechanics are very clever. Cutting, nailing, i feel like bob the builder lol. puzzles are fun and the graphics are clean and crisp on my ipod 4. i LOVE physic puzzlers because of the ways the developers keep making them fresh. this is a great edition to my collection and i recommend it. Good luck to the developers. fluffernutter Well-Known Member Jun 6, 2011 71 0 0 #6 fluffernutter, Dec 21, 2011 All codes are used.:-/ is it really so difficult to reply and thank the developer when you use a code. eAdvisory Well-Known Member Nov 22, 2011 1,090 0 0 Detroit #7 eAdvisory, Dec 21, 2011 Seriously. Its so rude and ridiculous. M@realobjects Well-Known Member Dec 11, 2011 53 0 0 Germany #8 M@realobjects, Dec 21, 2011 All codes from the first post are gone now. I will PM a fresh promo code to the first 5 people providing some kind of feedback to our game here, based on the trailer or the free version. giffi Member Dec 20, 2011 5 0 0 #9 giffi, Dec 21, 2011 Game Impressions The free version is pretty good, 32 levels full of fun. The tutorials have helped a lot to get used to the tools and the mechanics of the game. The last levels in the beach theme were quite tricky but still lots of fun. The castle levels in the trailer look amazing M@realobjects Well-Known Member Dec 11, 2011 53 0 0 Germany #10 M@realobjects, Dec 21, 2011 PM sent, 4 codes left. giffi Member Dec 20, 2011 5 0 0 #11 giffi, Dec 22, 2011 Thanks for the code. Just loaded the app ;-) multimage Well-Known Member Apr 15, 2011 323 0 0 http://www.kingcashing.com #12 multimage, Dec 22, 2011 Just played the lite version and I love it! The levels are hard but satisfying when you manage to finish them. One complaint I have is that the current tool should be more highlighted. Right now, when there's a level with 1 saw, 1 nail and 0 rock, it is not intuitive which one of the first 2 is selected. Other than that, nice game. I would love to have a code for this one giffi Member Dec 20, 2011 5 0 0 #13 giffi, Dec 26, 2011 Walkthrough For all who are having a rough time with some of the levels, I have created a walkthrough for the forest theme. It is available at http://www.youtube.com/user/giffi/videos Collin Well-Known Member Jul 29, 2010 719 46 28 Graphic Designer/Illustrator/Art Director Colorado Springs, CO https://www.theislandsofmisfitcreativity.com/ #14 Collin, Dec 26, 2011 From the video it looks pretty fun, however I play far more games on my iPad than I do on my phone. If you make a HD version, will it be universal or a separate app? If you have a code left that you could PM to me, I would appreciate it. M@realobjects Well-Known Member Dec 11, 2011 53 0 0 Germany #15 M@realobjects, Dec 27, 2011 Noted! This will definitely be addressed in the first updated planned for January. PS: I'll check if we have some promo codes left and PM you one if possible. M@realobjects Well-Known Member Dec 11, 2011 53 0 0 Germany #16 M@realobjects, Dec 27, 2011 That's not yet decided, but most probably it will be a separate HD version for the iPad. Promo code is in your PM, another one went to multimage...two more left. Collin Well-Known Member Jul 29, 2010 719 46 28 Graphic Designer/Illustrator/Art Director Colorado Springs, CO https://www.theislandsofmisfitcreativity.com/ #17 Collin, Dec 28, 2011 Last edited: Dec 29, 2011 Thank you for the code. I'll give it a try and if it's as fun as it looks I'll keep my eye out for the HD version. [Edit with impressions] For some reason I found the first level quite difficult to get past. After that I made it through level eight without much trouble before stopping for the night. It also looks pretty good on the iPad 1st gen in 2x mode. One thing I can't tell is what determines how many apples I score for the level. I got 3 for lvl 1, 0 for 2, 1 for 3, 2 for 4, 3 for 5, 0 for 6, 3 for 7 and 0 for 8. After replaying lvl 2 twice I managed to get one apple. Gameplay impression: I really enjoy it. It's good that it doesn't take long to reset a level because you'll probably be doing it quite often. Often enough, in fact, that I would suggest having the replay button on the game screen instead of in the "pause" menu to cut down on the number of "clicks" needed to get back in the action. Perhaps between the dropped object button and the pause button, or in the top left corner. Speaking of cutting down on the number of unnecessary clicks, I have a navigation suggestion: From pause you can access the "levels" screen, but from the "level completed" screen you can only choose "menu", "replay" and "next". You may want to provide a way for the player to go back to the "levels" screen without going to the "menu", choosing "play", then choosing the "area" (3 steps), or choosing "replay" or "next", pausing and then hitting "levels" (3 steps). Otherwise, I really like the game. Thank you again for the code. giffi Member Dec 20, 2011 5 0 0 #18 giffi, Dec 29, 2011 Game Impressions Update: I have added walkthrough videos for the beach theme: http://www.youtube.com/user/giffi/videos or the complete theme as a playlist: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLB6E510CE06AB4328&feature=plcp The forest theme is now also ordered in a playlist: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLE0A1CF8C6C5022FF&feature=plcp I'm already working on the castle theme, but the levels are really tricky (I'm currently stuck on level 15). fluffernutter Well-Known Member Jun 6, 2011 71 0 0 #19 fluffernutter, Dec 31, 2011 Thanks so much for the code. This game is really fun so far, it does get challenging quickly. I'm currently stuck on level 4 in the forest level, I'm going to try a few more times before checking the walk through. The turtle is adorable and I am always a sucker for games with cute critters. I can see this game taking a while to get through, and that is a good thing. I was going to suggest more hints in the game, like maybe losing some points but suggesting which tool to use first. The walk throughs are great though, I just don't like leaving a game to use a walkthrough. iDontGetIt Member Dec 16, 2011 11 0 0 #20 iDontGetIt, Jan 2, 2012 I love puzzle games and this one had a free version for me to try (which is a big bonus for me). I like to try before I buy and after completing the free version I couldn't resist. Great game! I especially like the mini-game feeling some levels had (like the pinball machine). @giffi: Nice walkthrough! I've watched some of your solutions on levels I already beat and got some fresh ideas from them for solutions for levels I hadn't played yet. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
