Hulu Plus is out! You can now watch hulu on your iDevice but for full catalog you need a 9.99 subscription http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/hulu-plus/id376510438?mt=8
**** that shit. They expect me to pay 10 dollars a moth (120? I think a year) they must be out of there minds.
....wowowowowow you're ****ing cheap LOOL. unless of course that's sarcasm... it probably isn't though. there's a lot of cheap people on this board :l
It's really not worth it to me when I can watch them happily on my MBP. Don't wanna downgrade to my iPod, don't wanna upgrade to my big screen TV and pay $9.99 if I'm gonna be the only one using it. Maybe if I traveled a lot and used an iPad while at hotels, but that's not the case at all. I don't get it Hulu, Listerine and 5 Hour Energy aren't giving you enough to stuff their ads in between every episode of Lost?
I am wondering whether we will be able to watch the most recent episodes for free, or if the new episodes are also available only by subscription. I had thought that when the Hulu folks were talking about a subscription they were referring to a fee for their entire catalog of back episodes. I really don't care about watching the entire 9 seasons of the X-files, but I would like to watch recent shows. For free, with ads.
10 dollars a month for for access to an archive of selected current TV shows? This is a great deal compared to buying shows on itunes or waiting for the dvds to come out to rent or buy if you don't mind streaming. This is also a bad deal compared to Netflix and for people who download illegally (hah). The included Ads is a controversial debate. People don't like paying for content with ads but then again, you also pay for ads with magazines (this includes digitally) and cable TV. Of course there's always a workaround to block Hulu ads if you primarily stream on the pc
Please post if you get invited to participate via email, I am curious how quickly this will roll out. I emailed for an invite pretty much as soon as this launched, but haven't heard back yet. I have been waiting for this for awhile. My ipad has quickly become my preferred viewing screen in the house.
Same here but I realized that it'll take awhile.Along with that I think they're selecting the people who has most or all of the devices like an iPhone,iPad,iPod Touch, Nintendo Wii, PS3 and things of that nature. If so I have a pretty good standing of getting an invite because I have most of the items minus Blu-Ray DVD player (PS3 ;P) and Internet connected tv (once again PS3)
Downloaded the app and tried out some of the sample stuff, seems like it will work extremely well, video quality seems great. You can also browse the full catalog and it looks like it is as advertised with the complete latest seasons of 24 and Modern Family. Movie selection seems sparse, but they have the complete Buffy. Seems like a great way to catch up on shows, not sure if this is something I will subscribe to month in and month out, but I can see myself subscribing from time to time to catch up on shows.
Hulu Plus for iOS 4 Devices I have downloaded this and the quality of the videos is WOW!! Anyone received their invites yet and yes I know this isn't a game.
Hulu Plus (iPhone, iPad, Xbox Live, PSN). 9.99 monthly. http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/29/hulu-plus-announced-ipad-iphone-sony-and-more-on-board/
While I enjoy my television online, I'm not going to pay $10 a month (120 a year) just for it. Besides it stills have Commercials.
It's strange that people have no aversion to paying for Netflix for the ability to stream a catalog of thousands of terrible 80's movies but paying the same amount of money for actual recent television is completely out of the question.
