I think it is easy to create a page as the game name ect. What is else you need to do? Only uploading some screenshots of your game should be not enough, and how to drag gamers to your page etc.? Can anybody else list what you have done and share?
Definitely coordinate your FB page, your Twitter, your Blog/website (if applicable) and make sure they are interconnected so users can travel from one to another without being forced to the address bar or a search engine. Try joining an indie network (there was one started on twitter I believe) for cross-promotion of new indie games and submit your game to the various usual-suspect websites for review.
Advertising and creating buzz in facebook is difficult nowadays. We did our first facebook campaign for our Lead The Meerkats in 2009. The game was eventually launched in WiiWare. We got A LOT of views for our campaigns. One of the campaigns got 75million impressions. After that rules and regulations have changed and there are lot of companies trying with different products. I think people are more tired nowadays of FB. We have then tried with different competitions, we've given away t-shirts, stickers etc. We've done making of docs, blogs etc. Those are always good, because people can share them and thus your game get visibility. Whatever you do in facebook has to be somehow funny, amazing quality or provocative so that people end up sharing it. Good luck anyway!
if you know the demographics that'd be interested in your game - you can reach out to them on fb by advertising.. simply find a top game that's similar to you - or atleast has similar demographics - and has a page/group on facebook. lets say "angry birds".. next - just write an ad and in the advanced targetting options - pop in "angry birds". that way your ad will be shown only to those who have "liked" the group "angry birds".. increases your chances of reaching the right people and getting some actual downloads/sales
