Hi everyone, could anyone advise me ob how I can check the version of the App in my iPhone? How can I do it without Sync with the PC? I would appreciate hints on how to check it using PC as well.
On your PC, you can check with iTunes. Just go to the applications tab, locate the app, right click and select more information. The version number should be there.
Great, thanks! When I'm following your instructions, it seems like I'm checking the iTunes current version, not the one I have installed. And if I cannot use my PC at the moment, is there a way to check it only with my iPhone?
When I say right click, I meant right click on the app name inside the Applications tab of iTunes. A small window should appear showing a lot of info about that app. PS: I said before to select more information. You should actually select "Get Info". For example, the image below shows that the Twitterific app is of version 1.0.
The only way to check from your device would be to look inside the app for an About page, or an info page, credits screen etc.. Where some developers will put the version number in for you. I like when this happens. Otherwise I don't think you can check which version number you are on. (Without being jailbroken)
The only way I know of (besides the ones that have been mentioned already) is opening up the appstore and finding the installed app.
